Legs are still sore from the squats. That’s new. It’s because my diet has been absolute crap. I went to the gym last night to ride the bike for 20min and work the bag for 15. Nothing too difficult. I’m going back today for another light “blood flow” day. I would consider flipping the schedule and doing upper but my left elbow has been achey in that I-need-elbow-sleeves kind of way. I’m sure hitting the bag isn’t helping but I’m just working combos - I haven’t even really laid into it yet.
PS. I thought I’d go without earphones last night and one of the trainers comes up like,
Trainer: “I see you up there hitting the bag and you haven’t come to see me yet.”
Bobbi: Looks up from her things “Haha. See you for what?”
Trainer: “So I can show you what’s good up there.”
Bobbi: “Haha. Yea,” walking away, “I’ll get to ya.”
This trainer tries every chance he can to catch my eye when my headphones are in and talk to me. I avoid contact as much as possible but he trapped me on the scale last night.
If one is going to get any kind of martial art/boxing coaching, are they really going to get it from an Urban Active trainer?

I do step ups to an 18" box - it’s fucking high - half the challenge is getting the mental balls to do it. I’ve missed before and shins bleed and hurt like a sonofabitch when you crack them on the edge of a metal box. I probably cursed for 5 minutes strait last time I dumped over a box and that was with dumbbells I could drop - the bar makes it a lot more scary. haha

I’d like to do the test too. Maybe after a good week of honest training when I have my regular gym back. Sadly, I’m not sure if I can even curl 45. Arm exercises have always wound up being “maybe someday” for me.

I have no idea why they hang the bag 3 feet from the wall of windows. I guess it’s so light it probably wouldn’t break them. The one I normally work on is in another corner and is heavier than the one by the windows.
I don’t know if I’ll be doing the test because I know what I can do and I don’t really need to prove to myself that I can do the ‘very good’ - I already know that’s cakework. I wrote it down in my book, however, so when I get a little stronger I can take a shot at those elite weights.
