Most sources say a regular eye dropper is 20 drops/ml, so you gauge your dose from there. If the l-dex is 1mg/ml, then 5 drops would be .25mg. 5 drops EOD is a good starting point. Some people get all weird about the math with EOD dosing vs. weekly dosing. Don’t sweat it. Start with 5 drops EOD and adjust from there.
I can tell when my E2 is too low because I lose libido and my joints start to hurt. When E2 is too high, libido suffers and I feel depressed and emotional. You’ll need to watch closely at first to find your own indicators, but most guys eventually find it fairly easy to dial it in.
Drop size depends on things like the dropper material [glass or plastic], shape and the liquid +++. If the dropper is marked with .5ml line, count the drops for that amount and double for drops per ml.
.75 mg/wk for the reported T levels sounds like a good start until E2 labs results come in.
Have not had it checked. Next bloodwork is scheduled in 3 months. I am not very happy with my endo, my last visit which was just on Wednesday, I did not even see the doctor, I was seen by a physician’s asst. I was prescribed t-cyp 300mg every 2 weeks. When I told the phys. asst. I was taking 150mg every week, she was surprised, said she had never heard of anyone taking it that way.
I told her the doctor was aware of this and was ok with it. I may have my E2 checked on my own. I can say that since starting the l-dex, I feel the difference, definitely increased libido. I’m sure that in 3 mos. my T levels will be over the range, and they’ll probably reduce my dose. It’s truly amazing that many on this forum, happydog, KSman, are more knowledgable about this stuff than the docs.
I plan on contacting LabCorp and finding out how much the E2 test would cost me. I’m not sure how the doc would react if he sees a lower E2 level…I don’t want to admit I am taking l-dex on my own. At my previous appt., 3 mos ago, I asked the doc about arimidex, but he was not receptive. He just said as my T levels rise, so will my E2. I had an MRI on the pituitary, came up clean. Comments are always appreciated.
You cannot deal with Labcorp directly. LEF.org will order your labs and those are with Labcorp. Cheaper if you are a LEF member, but not worth it for just E2 tests. For male pannel testing you will save as a member. LEF has a very good sale on lab work in April and May. You can bank some lab orders at that time.
Latest bloodwork: CBC is good, liver enzymes are good. Total T = 753, SHBG = 22 (20-60), Bioavailable T = 440 (95-285). The bioavailable number is one the endo was concerned about, too high.
Have been on 150mg test cyp once a week. Now the doc wants me to do 150mg every 2 weeks. Have been doing L-dex 6 drops ETD. Have noticed nipples are sticking out a little, right one is itchy sometimes. Doc felt around, no pain, no bumps under the skin. KSMan, any thoughts? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

Well, by now the OP has probably figured out that (1) KSman is far more knowledgeable than his doctor, and (2) he will have to treat himself.
In 4 years of TRT, I have never (repeat: never) met a doctor who knew much of anything, much less about TRT. I’m including alleged ‘specialists’ — they are a joke.
I am however excepting the docs who actually do TRT, want $2000 up front, and a $200/month maintenance fee. As professional steroid dealers, they are knowledgeable.
OP: unless you are loaded, you will have to self-medicate. Order less than a 3 month supply of anything and you should be alright.[/quote]

Yeah Headhunter, but where from?
I’m NOT one of those guys who can throw 2K + “maintenance” fees even at a big problem like extreme andropause…
I’m OK with self-medicating without a script, hell I’m just tryin to take care of myself (the MD’s can’t seem to do it).
