I’m interested in following you through your cross fit journey. CF seems like an excellent way to cut down and remain active for older guys like me. It also sounds like fun. My goals are to be big and strong but not carry around a ton of extra fat, there will likely be a CF portion in my training depending on how you end up liking it.
Keep it.
If it makes you feel better I can create another account and post in your threads so it’s not just the two of us :P[/quote]
Yea I’ll start a new log so you can follow it, I’m thinking with the name of the log and the progress people on here will trash on me…
CF generally gets trashed here… I don’t know why… people seem to forget… the average american sits on their ass and eats snacks while watching sitcoms 5 nights a week and spends the other 2 drinking booze and killing brain cells…
Anything that gets you off the couch, gets you moving, and has you fighting the stereotype that Americans are fat as fuck and seriously lack motivation… is good, be it CF, P90x, Tae Bo, or something more Testosterone driven like a Westside routine.
haha no need to start another account, I know those people are out there creeping on our logs, the view count shows it… if people don’t choose to chime in, it means were not impressive enough yet.
I won’t stop posting, working my ass off, or training until people praise me and ask me for my training secrets.
In my opinion CF deserves a chance. It’s not the goal of everyone to get huge, some folks want to be strong, look good and feel better, CF answers that question. I wouldn’t make MY primary workout but like you said it’s great for people who do nothing all the time and those who want to get cut.
These are your goals if you want to do CF and it turns out to be the best thing ever for you, great, if you don’t get where you want with it then you’ll know.
Personally I’ll give anything a chance, all workouts are tools, use the tools to reach your goal.
So as promised, a shits and giggles mid-week weigh in:
BW: 227 – Pretty close to my guess… good news is that was what I weighed around Phase I time… I just went back and checked and I found that post about my crazy nonsense scale…
Whatever… the scale lies I just know I’m stronger that I was 12 weeks ago and I’m sure as hell looking a lot better I’ll take pictures sometime this weekend to mark the end of this program and to start a new set for my new CF log… I created a nice little excel spreadsheet so I can track measurement trends and what not… I’m such a loser.
