Today will be Day 1 Week 2 of my 4 week program pre-V-Diet…

So you’re going to go through with the V-Diet? Best of luck to you, you have more will power than I do.

I really need it… not to say i haven’t lost weight… but I feel that July 14th ill be at a weight where the v-diet is perfect for those last stubborn lbs before my cruise…

Unless something radically changes between now and then… I’m doing this… I’m sure it’ll be tought, but there was a point where I had been consuming the majority of my cals from protein shakes previously…

I think the single biggest change will be the workouts.

I’m hoping my setup for the v-diet training will cause additional loss… I just switched it up 5 weeks ago to 10x3 FFL, now I’ve switched back for 4 weeks, and after this I’ll be switching again to the V-diet style training…

Confusion, confusion, confusion… and theoretically add in two more !!

You can do it, I got faith in ya. Personally I’m getting tired of shakes at the moment and I only have 2 a day, they kind of gross me out anymore. I should buy some cheap protein to drink for awhile so I can apreciate the Metabolic Drive again.

Figured I’d update my food log…

I’m really not exciting… so this is a summary of what I’ve been eating…

Breakfast:
Smoothie
2 cups 2% milk
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
2 Tbsp protein
12 cashews

Snack/lunch/snack:
2 slices whole wheat
4.5 oz turkey
1oz cheese
4 tbsp avocado

Dinner:
4 oz Chicken breast
2 oranges
4 macadamia nuts

Modified to

Breakfast:
Smoothie

You’ll notice very minor changes… specifically going from 5 meals to 4 and I’ll be removing avocado from 1 of my sandwiches each day…

If you are losing weight you should be hungry… and on that strict 20 block plan for the zone… I was not hungry… I may weigh a lot(240ish) but I really don’t need a lot of calories… and it was putting me at 2400/day and I was gaining… no ifs ands or buts… 2400 = weight gain. Could have been the 100g+ carb loading (most likely was and that means all water weight) but I don’t like my number going up 9 lbs in 1 week, carbs/water or not… thats fucked.

This will be more suited for me and even if I’m a bit high on carbs v-diet will seemingly be more impressive.

Subtle changes, like you said could be the difference. Give it a week or so and see what happens. We have to beat Syljin and Barti.

1.5:1 Ratio thats right… 45s Rest 30s Work 9 Mins Not as bad as I thought but I also only did 9 mins

3-4 mins consisting of everything from single leg, high jumps, fast pace, slow pace…

These will be slowly going away and being replaced by eggs… I can feel the overdose in carbs plaguing me…

Yesterday afternoon at the gym I was stalling on energy and I took my HRX pre-workout(about 30 mins) That’s nonsense…

I need to keep my cals consistant and my carbs low… thats what showed me results previously… this zone diet is great for maintenance but not for serious serious training and fat loss…

Back to the old… i’m positive my weight loss has stalled out on this diet… I’m carb sensitive so sue me.
Starting tomorrow:

Breakfast
4 eggs
1 T evoo

Snack
2 Scoop Shake

Lunch
1 Lb Ground turkey
2 C Spinach
.5 oz Sunflower seeds

Pre Gym
2 Scoop Shake

Dinner
1 Lb Chicken

Don’t get scared by those 1Lb numbers… thats what I was doing before… I don’t know how people eat 4 oz of chicken… unless I’m measuring wrong…

I take my chicken flop it on my scale raw, and cook it up.

Maybe I’m fitdaying it wrong… 1lb bonless, no skin, raw (yield after cooking)

I’ll have fun sticking to this diet for 25 days… at least eating so strictly is very very very cheap…

More power to you if you can eat a pound of meat and lose weight, I’m jealous.

Thibs says you should messure raw so it sounds like you’re doing it right, everything is trial and error so if it’s working run with it.

So I dunno if I’m gonna have that full dinner…

I’m not hungry, my lunch satisfied me for 5 hours… i pounded protein after tonights workout…

ENERGY – Wow first day without all those carbs and I’m bouncing. Generally by this time I feel like I could sleep for a week.

I’m carb sensitive for sure… oh well… 3 days til weigh in… it better fucking read low or I’m gonna stab the person that suggested the zone to me in the throat.

Lessons learned:

Modifying a lifting routine or cardio schedule – A-OK

Modifying a diet – Forget about it.

Confusing your muscles is one thing… once you figure out what your body needs in terms of macronutrients to lose weight, why mess with it? I did, and I found out the hard way it was a stupid fucking idea.

Weekend food-

Yeh… so didn’t fall from grace too far… but my diet:

Friday->

4 eggs evoo

2 cups yogurt with sliced almonds

1 lb ground turkey

11 oz chicken breast
1 cup asparagus

2 Margaritas

Saturday->

Big Omlette at IHOP, w/ mushroom, spinach

late lunch, chicken fajita nachos…

Asparagus, Zucchini, and Chicken Pasta with evoo – we made this up… pasta was the bad part.

3 Sea Dog Apricot Wheat beer

Sunday->

Breakfast burrito
2 scrambled eggs
1/2 cup cheddar
1/2 cup salsa
sun dried tomato tortilla

3/4 Smoothie(split with gf)
2 cups 2% milk
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup strawberries
1/2 scoop protein
6-7 macadamia nuts

Protein Bar

1.5 Cups romaine
11 oz chicken breast
2 T mayo

Pretty healthy… I ate out twice, but I didn’t really eat anything I wouldn’t have had at home… The worst meals all weekend involved pasta and chips…

well not to mention the alcohol… oh well…

Needed a reward.

As for working out this weekend… I got ‘cardio’ in… lots.

6/23/08 Official weigh-in

BW: 238.4

Not a record low, but 8 lbs off my last weigh in… and since it is still 1.4 lbs higher than my lowest yet, and my diets been strict… I’m definitely blaming all those carbs in the Zone.

That zoning really effed me up.

Sidenote:

I had this suspicion that my scale was off, as it is a cheap digital, my gf tried it and said it was 6 lbs lower, (assuming she didn’t drop 6 lbs since last time she weighed herself, and her scale is accurate)…

That’s annoying, but as long as the #s are coming off and my body’s getting tighter… it’s fine with me…

Can’t wait to get in the gym today…

62 Days til cruise… 3.4 lbs til goal, getting very close to boob-less… wish me luck… maybe I’ll come back from this cruise and for the first time in my life I’ll have a tan upper body and not just tan arms.

Yeh yeh… but recall 2 weeks ago I was 237, then 243, 244, 246 up up up… then I got off scale for a week… next time I weighed in… 238… so I either lost 8 lbs from 246 or I never really gained… I just maintained.
