Blast/Cruise Test Only (1st Year)

So the story goes. 29 year old male, Low T. Possible TRT candidate if I choose to do so. I have 1 cycle of test only at 500mg a week for 12 weeks under my belt. I know it’s kind of young for trt but the Dr was pretty concerned about it.

I plan on starting out with just Test E. Eventually adding 1 compound or 2 after the first 6 months to a year.

Blast for 12 weeks at 500-700mg. Cruise for 6 weeks at 200-250mg per week.

I already know the pros and cons, and for my goals of competing in the future, the pros outweigh the cons.

Let me know how this sounds, I am open to any criticism.

How low is your T, and what is your doctor suggesting? Is he offering trt? With already low T I would either consider the trt first or basically just assume yourself to be on off-book trt already. I mean a few years of blasting and cruising you’ll be at an age where it may be appropriate anyway.

I wouldn’t go ahead unless you are sure you can be okay with being on trt for life, as I’m sure you know.

It’s not the worst thing for bodybuilding, it’s not even that inconvenient. As long as you can stay healthy doing so having a nice bit of test flowing through you even when “off” will probably feel great compared to low T.

Haven’t you only been lifting for a year? And you’ve already done a 3 month cycle? So, you likely spent 6 months max lifting naturally?

I’m not liking this situation at all… but I am curious about you being tested and showing up as having low T. How long after your 12 week cycle were you tested, and did you run a PCT after your cycle?

That is true. I was tested 8 weeks after pct and also before.

My pct was Clomid/50/50/50/50 Nolvadex 20/20/20/20. Cycle was Sustanon 250. As far as how long Ive been lifting consistently, yes it has been 1 year. I know, it is recommended to max out naturally prior to running a cycle but my test levels were low before, but I was not put on trt because it was one test.

Im not opposed to working out for another few years or so naturally. I just wanted some input on this option. I’m always open to criticism and if you think this is a bad idea, I’ll listen and take your advice, flipcollar.

I’m not necessarily in the camp of ‘max out before you use’, but I do believe you should have diet and training well in hand first, and this simply doesn’t happen in 6 months. At least you’re working on it, since you’ve got both a diet and a training thread going, lol. And you’re obviously receptive to advice. That’s unusual. And great.

You PCT’ed correctly, and 8 weeks after the cycle, you should have been mostly recovered. How did the cycle go? What kind of strength gains did you make, and how much have you retained?

I’m on TRT and am thrilled with it…but I already have two kids and am too old to have more so the TRT route was an easy decision. There are many ways to jump start your natural production of testosterone and I would recommend that you at least consider those - HCG monotherapy being one to consider.

If you are able to get natural production restarted, you have a lot more options - cycles with PCT only being one of them. If you are not able to get restarted, then you still have the TRT option with the blast and cruise. Your age is pretty young to give up on restarting so, my opinion, you should consider options before jumping on the blast and cruise train.

And, I’m not looking to compete, so I can’t speak to those goals.

Good luck.

My strength gains went up during cycle but have been going down the past few weeks.

For example my deadlift, I could pull 375 for 4 sets of 7. I couldnt pull 350 for 5 just last week. Im chalking it up to a bad day in general but it was taxing just trying. Bench has been stuck at 225 x 5 and my squat went up to 300x5, now back down to about 275x 7.

It fluctuates but I havent noticed any strength gains since pct ended. As far as what I retained, I weighed 185 during cycle im now down to 175, changing from meat to being vegan always make me lose weight immediately.

I figure the added purse would make up for it.

money can’t buy testicles. Not usable ones, anyway

I have 5 kids. I dont think I’ll be needing the testicles much.

if you get on trt make sure to use hcg. everyone talks about it as if it’s optional, and it’s just to keep balls from shrinking. i decided not to use hcg as a form of male birth control and because i don’t care how big my balls are. the problem is you lose sensitivity in your penis, orgasms are dull, and sex isn’t what it should be… if your libido doesn’t go to shit after a few weeks. also, cholesterol levels will be unhealthy. pregnenolone is an important hormone which hcg will maintain proper levels due to lh levels dropping.

i can’t believe how many doctors treat hcg as optional for trt when it is just as important as controlling estrogen. do some research and make sure your doctor gives you hcg if you are prescribed test.

I’m just messing with you, man. Veganism isn’t how I’d live my life but if you like it then go ahead

My strength has tanked due to my diet being shit. I mostly go vegan for a few months for health purposes and then switch back. I know you’re messing around I was just having fun with it.

on going vegan
if i eat an egg or piece of meat i know i got my essential amino acids
on vegan how do you know you are hitting your macro’s and micro’s

By tracking them and setting up a diet plan accordingly. Also supplementing necessary vitamins.

Why not try going vegan on cycle and go back to being a man when off? I would really like to see the results.

Vegan on blast, man on cruise? haha

On a more serious note. I just had my blood drawn for CBC, Test and Thyroid. I’ll let you all know the current results when I get them. Blood Pressure is kind of high too, but they didnt tell me what it was.
