Been thinking about it, and decided ill run another cycle of 5/3/1 for bench, and then do Dave Tate’s 6-week bench cure.

This way I can max on deadlift and bench in Febuary, and hold off on squat till march.

Dave Tate’s bench cure definitely looks like a solidly written program and I think a lot of people have gotten good results. I have been eying it and it is on my very long lists of programs I would love to try one day.

Great progress so far man, especially the squat and DL. Your form isn’t bad on your pulls by any means.

Pretty happy with this, ive never squatted this much weight w/out a belt, which is fucking stupid on my part. Im gonna be doing my squats beltless for a while.

Funny story from today. The weightroom “coach” told me I couldnt do box squats today because it was dangerous…

Early workout today at 4am, wasnt feeling it. Last cycle I got 245x6 and 255x4, so I guess it isnt that bad. The skull crushers felt really good, my arms feel like jello.

I might be able to get a back workout in later if my schedule permits it.

The home gym has been tooken apart whyll our garage is getting cleaned and painted, so no lifting until I can get back to the school on monday. Was gonna take the rest of the week off anyway.

This thursday ill be maxing on DL. Gonna aim high and shoot for 450, if I get that, I will have gained 100 lbs. on my DL in one year.

Other gains over this year:

Squat: 345-375 +30 lbs.
Has yet to be tested, I know I have more in me but that will have to wait and see.

Bench: 265-290 +25 lbs.
Might have 295 in me, but as of right now this is pretty accurate.

Very happy with this. I wasn’t even sure if I had 450 in me, and when that came up pretty smooth I decided to go for 475, and even after that I think I had another 10 pounds in me.

I will bench tomorrow, and then call it quits till next week.

Warming up for track and field is killing me, I fucking hate it. Our head coach doesnt know dick about throwing shotput, so every single thrower has to do a mile warm up and a few hundred sit ups + pushups at the beggining of every practice. And she wonders why im the only person to throw 40’ in 7 years…

I didnt even try and go for more on bench, it wasnt there.
