Meet Results: Sept. 19th

Weighed in at 231.6

Squat:

Opener - 315 - Smoked it, went up faster then my 275 warmup, and it really set the tone for the rest of the meet.

2nd - 340 - Same as 315, popped out of the hole… felt like nothing.

3rd - 365 - Deep as hell, 3 whites. Easily had another 10 lbs. in me.

Bench:

Opener - 235 - Easy and smooth.

2nd - 250 - Nice and smooth

3rd - 265 - Failed. Was tired as hell and wasnt mentally prepared for it. Failed halfway threw the lift.

DL:

Opener - 365 - Felt hard, but looked fast and easy on camera.

2nd - 405 - REALLY hard, but 3 whites. PR+ 20 lbs.

3rd - 415 - Failed.

I think this was a great first meet. I had a blast, and I got the numbers I wanted. The guys over at Albany Strenth ran the meet perfectly, only took about 8 hours (7-3). Got to see a few 500+ raw squats, a 430 raw bench, and a 640 raw pull.

I cant wait till my next meet, thanks for everyone that supported me. Videos will be up in a few days.

Congrats BL! The key is that you stepped on the platform and performed well. Now you have a base to build on.

Excellent work Blacklabel!! You have a lot to be proud of. 7 for 9 in your first meet is really damn good and you got your first 405 pull, awesome.

Here’s my last attempt, which was a failed 415 on the DL. A guy I was talking to at the meet filmed it, so its at the end of the video… go to around 1:00

Finished with lat pulldowns. I lied about not lifting this week, I was to damn tempting! Ill do some squats tomorrow, wont go to heavy, maybe 275 for a few reps.

btw, pausing for high reps kicks my ass. I was actually gasping for breath.
