I have to skip gym today (sick kid at home).
You’re gonna pull 235, aren’t you…when I’m not there to see it! ![]()
H.E. was ready to pull the 235 but we took our sweet time with the regular Friday lift and ran short on time…Next Monday, right???

Hey, hey! Welcome, Megaloca!
It’s been that kind of week as far as moving slowly, huh? Not always a bad thing, I think; at least you gals were in there moving. Let’s see…what did you have today…same weight, 6 x 5? Was going to try to get my benching in tomorrow, but with early KB and possibly boot camp after (assuming we have something left)…maybe not. ![]()
Just the bench was off. It was 6x5 @115 today but I only managed 6x4, so I’ll be staying at that weight next week. Oh Sh Prs was up a little. Oops, I might have run out of time on dips & pull ups;) So glad HE was there to make me laugh, missed you and HoJo though! Is it wrong to be excited to do KB & BC back to back??? Psyco…lol.

What’s this? No dips?! Just teasing. ![]()
Good on the 6 x 4 (but isn’t this weight light for you now?). Did you feel pretty consistent through all the sets?
Yes, it’s wrong…very wrong…to look forward to 8a KB followed by BC. You should have your head examined…and um…make an appt. for me, too.
Missed regular bench day yesterday, since one of my daughters was at home sick. Still, I got in some pushups, inverted rows, dips, and KB presses at home (mobility work, too).
Managed to get up in time for an 8am KB class today. Fischer had a killer template…loved it!
Then Megaloca, her hubby, and I got brave (or were insane?) and stuck around for the boot camp immediately afterwards. It was a lighter session than we normally have, because there were two people brand new to the class. Regardless, we got in some good bodyweight work, angry rope slams, and sled pushes.
Great way to start the weekend!
Way to go ladies (KBgal and Megaloca)!
Just the thought of doing KB and boot camp back to back is making me queasy. Actually it sounds like fun, and if I can ever get my lazy but moving by 8am I’ll give it a try.
If I ever get a free Saturday I will be there also… So many softball games etc on Sat mornings

Hi, coyotegal! Yup…one of my fave activities: eating!
Side note: I managed to eat clean that day/weekend, which was amazing, because I had been dying for a Cinnabon the entire week but did not give in to that temptation! Those are my weakness…used to eat them a lot - and add on a Mochalatta Chill with whipped cream. OMG…so many calories, so much fat! I still indulge once in a great while, but it’s been ages. Don’t want to undo all my good work cutting down the sugar! LOL

Hmmmmmm…that explains a lot.
Front squat day - Probably the best I’ve felt doing these. At Fischer’s direction, paused in the hole and worked on exploding back up. Felt really good…and strong. ![]()
bar x 5 x 1
65 x 3 x 1
85 x 3 x 1
105 x 2 x 1
115 x 2 x 1
125 x 3 x 5
125 x 2 x 2
one-legged leg press
75 x 5 x 4
GHRs - Rick tweaked the setup and WOW, did it make a difference! Felt it like I never have before in the hamstrings (and everyone else agreed when they tried).
BW x 5 x 3
Great day in the gym this morning. Heading back tonight for boot camp.
Oh - Did KB class last night. This one was titled “At the Gates of Hell.” My fave combo of the night: Swing snatch x 10, clean & press x 6, swing snatch x 10, pushups x 6; repeat with other hand. (Megaloca: Maybe you should ask Rick for this one to take with you on vacation…)

I definitely would like to leave with the Gates of Hell in my book:)
Way behind here…let’s see…
Friday, 6/8
bench press
bar x 5 x1
65 x 4 x 1
75 x 4 x 1
85 x 5 x 6 - Ooh…is it time to add another 10 lbs?? Felt better that outing, though still not consistent with bar path…
rows - inclined bench
90 x 5 x 5 (Yup, Meg, no more side pain!)
shoulder press, seated
25#DBx x 10 x 4
neg. pullups
3 x 3
dips
BW x 9 x 1
BW x 7 x 1
BW x 8 x 1
hammer curls
20#DBs x 10 x 2
Saturday, 6/9 - KB class & boot camp
Whoa…killer KB class with two buddies. First room had zero air circulation, so sweat poured fast! Moved to another room that was better but still…lots of pushups incorporated into this one, higher volume on moves.
Then stayed for boot camp. MORE pushups, skipping, sled pushes. Good stuff.
Wednesday, 6/13
front squats
bar x 5 x 1
65 x 3 x 1
85 x 3 x 1
105 x 2 x 1
115 x 2 x 1
125 x 3 x 7 - Volume PR at this weight…and now I get to add 10# next time! ![]()
one-legged leg press
75 x 5 x 4
GHRs
BW x 8 x 3
Here is video of 7th (last) set of front squats @ 125. Dropped elbows a bit, but managed to pause on the 2nd and (better) on the 3rd rep…
