Deadlifts were a joke. I could have gone done them night. I guess all the volume from the last block did its job. Whoever wrote my program must be a genius or something.

Also, it would be nice if the gym had a kb that weighed more than 24kg. Maybe I’ll up the reps next time. Or start doing them one hand at a time.

At least you have kettle bells. I’ve used adjustable DBs at home, and just made one side heavier for KB swings. Oh yes, I can go ghetto on that sh*t.

Is the BB decline a decline bench press? I’m assuming that’s it. I’ve done pushups on a decline to try to hit my lower chest.

Yeah you’re right. My coach is a huge dick actually. He bullied me into doing all of that work and then he wouldn’t even let me ramp or hitch on deadlift. I mean, its not like I was on the platform, or someone was videotaping me. And then he had the audacity to tell me that I was doing it wrong because I let my shoulders get ahead of the bar on a couple of the reps. I think he acts out like this because of his weak character.

Decline bench press indeed. Wide grip. The idea is to get more heavy pressing in week to week without actually doing a ton of competition benching.

take a mini or monster mini band, step on it, wide KB Swing stance, put the other end over the KB handle and swing away…

I’ve been pausing on bench for the last 5+ weeks now and will continue to do so until the meet. I’m getting a little antsy to go heavier and crank out a few heavier touch and go sets.

Weight felt good, but decided to bail on front squats when I felt an odd tingly sensation near my right knee (like vastus medialis) as I hit the bottom of my squat. Never felt that before. Will have to keep an eye on things.

i dont remember your bench sucking. is this a long pause? whats your meet pr?

Bench doesn’t suck any more than usual. The pause has been longer than any reasonable judge would call in a meet. And you have to remember, I haven’t been doing anything over 85% in training yet.

I think its actually SIDS. Or maybe fetal alcohol syndrome.

PS. I figured out how to roll my tri/rear delt with my lacrosse ball. But don’t tell stronghold.

Oh man, the stuff that people PM goes way beyond that! LOL, maybe I will post some of the funnier ones that I have gotten recently. Veggie- I can only imagine the PMs you and some of the other ladies that post more risque pics in t-vix receive. Mine are pretty tame. You should post some of them for the lulz. And yes, my coach IS a big meanie but I still love him.

I’m getting a little off topic here but this is what I think about posting pics…I don’t have a problem with showing off what you got. A lot of the ladies on the site are freakin’ hawt and have a lot to be proud of. I’m not opposed to posting pics of myself, but I also like to maintain some level of privacy/anonymity.

I realize that putting it all out there doesn’t bother some, and I’m glad because that means I get to look at a lot of pretty pictures, but it weirds me out a little. I also try not to get too sexy cause I know about the weird PMs that come with the territory.

It can be tough to find a balance between progress-oriented and sexy when it comes to posting pics. I’ve seen girls post competition or comp-prep photos in Rate My Physique asking about how to improve and half of the guys tell them they look hot and that just pisses me off. They could have posted the same pic in SAMA and those responses would have been fine.

I realize that we are wearing skimpy swimsuits and bras and panties in both kinds of pics, but context is important here. I like for my hard work to be recognized as much as the next girl, but “your pictures make my penis hard” or whatever guys PM is not exactly kind of recognition I’m talking about here.

With all that said, next post is going to be the pic that I was contemplating posting.
