I’m not totally sure how the rest of the week is going to go with training and diet. We’ve got an out of town wedding this weekend and then we’re doing vacation at the lake. This means bikini season has officially begun. Well, its actually been like 80+ for like a month and a half now, but this will mark the beginning of the “omg i’m going to be scantily clad in public” season.

While I’m not the type to have a nervous breakdown in a department store fitting room over how I look in swimwear, I am wishing I had lost a little more of the winter chub. I’m hesitant to say this, but I think once the meet is over in July I might do some real dieting and see if I can get more than my top row of abs to show…

So without further ado. Here is 1. my super cute bikini and 2. my beginning of the summer “before” body.

And I totally agree about privacy etc when posting pics. I have never posted my face, nor do I plan to. And I have a tramp stamp that T-Nation has never seen. To me that would be past my limits. But I am addicted to taking sexy pics and have fun posting them.

Thanks Veg! I kinda wish they made matching bikini bottoms, but the only style they sold was a “micro” cut. I ordered them anyway to see if maybe they weren’t as small as the name would suggest. Nope. They seriously did not even cover enough to go out in public and not get arrested for indecency. Oh well. Black is way more versatile anyway.

And then time was up. Since I’m only training 3x a week I’ll be able to go in tomorrow to do my accessory work and maybe some cardio. Weights felt light. Below is the video of my first squat and first DL. My second set of deads looked a lot better than the first. I actually got behind the bar on the later sets.

Just add water! You are looking so strong BG. In the bikini, and doing those squats. Your lat development - WOW! Mine are still lagging everything else. And it’s a good example how some shoulders can really give you the hourglass. I see some nice ab definition for sure up there, too.

I’m with you about the potential creepiness of being a woman on the web. I haven’t received any weird PMs. Just stuff like “Nice Legs”, which I just take as the compliment that it is, and say “Thank you.” Nobody has been aggressive. I do think we should inform each other if someone is becoming stalker-like so we can all be aware. I do have my face on my log, so I’m not all that anonymous.

Meh. I’ve been having people tell me why my deadlifts look like shit for the past three years now and no one has ever said that I hyper-xt. My hips snap thru hard at the top and I pull my shoulders back. There is no question about whether or not I’m locked out when I am which is good in a meet. Ima hafta get a side view next time I pull because I really want to see what it looks like now.

And I was always taught to finish like you’re fucking. Maybe some folks are more into “making love”…

Bear- I had to look at the tramp stamp twice before I could see the licking ladies. Don’t hate. Its still early. But I knew there had to be more than just a butterfly penis going on in there.

Puff- Thanks lady! It took me forever to get even the baby lats I have growing now. For the longest time, I would do the exercises I was supposed to but wouldn’t ever feel it. I still have trouble flexing and recruiting them sometimes. You ever have any issues with that?

No problems with anyone being stalkerish here. Except for this Stronghold character. He shows up in my log, is always at the gym when I’m there, talking trash and being a big old meanie about how I lift, but he’s kinda cute so I’ll tolerate it. You’re right though. If some creepo is causing major problems for a poster I think others should know.

P.S. Veggie get the piece finished! I <3 tattoos. I know that’s what the bottoms are supposed to be like, but they didn’t look that small in the picture.

I was also always taught to ‘fuck the bar’. Some people just like to take it out for a coffee though. To each his own. I’d prefer to pull back hard and leave no doubt that it’s locked out on the platform like you’re doing than have to worry about doing it at a meet. I’ve seen more than one person shit the bed at a meet because of sloppy training.

Deadlifts–Felt freaking awesome. My most recent best was a tough 245x1 right before this training cycle started. 230 flew up today. I blame stronghold and his awesome program writing skills. Got a video of my first two sets of deads, spliced them together, flipped them upright and now youtube isn’t cooperating. Gah! Will have to post them up anyway.

A few non-training updates:

  1. We’re still vacationing in the mountains. Currently “stealing” wi-fi from the camp’s welcome center thing. Its absolutely beautiful up here but I’m still not sure about this whole being outdoorsy thing…

  2. Apparently, I blew out a bunch of blood vessels around my eyes during Friday’s squat workout. I think I managed to spackle enough makeup on that no one noticed at the wedding on Saturday.

  3. In my book, 5 people + 1 bathroom = roughing it

Second Set: This is what my pulls look like from the side. I think they look good. Minus the part where I still don’t always get my hips down and shoulders back behind the bar. I think the deficit pulls as accessory work have been helping though.
