Jesus Christ, you’re either dramatic or way out of shape. It’s not that hard.

Only the former. I guess I should calm down with the Chesterton.

No, I’m not.

The secret to breezing through Tabata is:

  1. Be in decent shape.
  2. Don’t be a pussy.

PPuff- Grad school isn’t bad. I’m just ready to be done. I feel like I’ve been in school my whole life. Maybe that’s cause I have…

2busy- Welcome and thanks for the link. KB swings are actually how I usually do Tabata.

BC/SH- Tabata is no different from other difficult physical activities. Its hard. Not much else to say about it. And I’ve done Tabata with SH before. He knows how to do it…

In other news…2 scoops choc MD, dark chocolate natty PB and a teeny bit of ice water tastes kinda like I would expect brownie batter to taste like. Nommy.

Update to the other news: I am struggling to not attack the ice cream calling my name from the freezer…

the trick… wait for it…

don’t buy it and thus keep it in your freezer
if the children MUST have icecream buy something that doesn’t call out your name like Mango sorbet.

Good god, I had to leave a post after that first post - bitch please indeed!! LOLOLOLOL

Great work too

I opted for coffee with chocolate protein mix in it. And re-reading Shely Starnes article about failing your diet. His live spill on that helped too.

Ice cream is only in the freezer because I get my kids every other weekend. Otherwise I know better then to buy it.

2busy- I don’t know what your diet requirements are, but the Arctic Zone “ice cream” I was talking about a page or two back should fit in with just about anyone’s macros. Its 37 cal a serving no fat, 6 carbs, 3.4 protein. It doesn’t have any creaminess to it, but its oddly satisfying if you REALLY want a dessert.

(slightly related here: Peanut Wonder or “Better’n PB” are good alternatives to normal PB if you need to watch total cals or fat. They take a little getting used to–much sweeter than natty PB and oddly sticky–but between my normal natty pb and that stuff I can eat it pretty much any day and make it fit into my macros.)

coffee+protein is yummy too. I have some cookies and cream casein that is delicious in coffee. Tastes kinda like something you’d buy from Starbucks. I think. I normally drink my coffee black and can’t remember the last time I wasted money on that iced girly crap they sell. Nasty.

N- Or you could buy the ice cream and eat it all at once so that you don’t have to worry about it tempting you later on…

Adam-F- That is quite a video isn’t it? Thanks for stopping by.

I really do talk about food a lot. Today’s plan: GTLBBQ. Well, maybe not laundry. That can wait.

And I leave you with some bbq food porn. Pic was taken at one of last year’s BBQs. Today its just one boston butt with the family but I still can’t wait for the noms.

Happy Memorial Day!

I was not ready for another lower body day, but this block I’m only lifting 3x a week which means that I couldn’t start the week off benching.

Did a giant set for accessory work b/c of time. Not sure if I want to keep that setup for the whole block.

I’m going to have to try your brownie batter Metabolic Drive concoction.

I’ve been goofing around with the TRX a bit too. Reverse lunges mostly. I’ll have to try pistols on it. Can you do regular pistols? Those are wicked hard, and I’ve got a ways to go.

I just posted and it never showed up. There it is. Weird.

treadmill 30 min @ varied speed/incline

leg raise 10x4

I was in the mood to tear shit up today, but had to wait til tomorrow. The plan was to go for 45-60min then do some abs while SH finished up. Got off at the 30 min mark to pee and SH let me know he was about ready to go. I’m soooooo pissed my cardio was cut short…

Spent 29 of my 30 minutes on the treadmill listening to one of my all-time favorite gym songs on repeat. I don’t know if that says anything about my state of mind…

Make sure you get some of the fancy PB & Co. dark chocolate peanut butter when you make it. (And try not to eat the whole jar of PB all at once

No real pistols here. I can pretty much do the one legged equivalent of a quarter squat unassisted. And I can lower myself to a chair and come back up. Kinda like a pistol box squat, I guess.

your new avatar is ridiculous… wow

How are you feeling about the Tressel situation?

Good training in here. 205 DL and 105 Decline Bench? Impressive

Pinch!

That is one bubbled up booty. So pretty Buckeye. YAY SUMMER!!

nice deadlift and bench there!! wow at that avatar!
