Bitch, Please!

Cal- The sad part was that I had been lifting (wrong) for a few years in the “before” pic. I know what you mean about skinny women.

Beast- You still in Europe? I thought everyone was more accepting of things like that over there?

I had to strap up on bb rows too. I feel like such a wimp. But really, I’m rowing my BW +25lbs so I guess I shouldn’t feel too bad about it…

And the vids. Sorry about the awful gym music. I tried to edit vids, but it seems that my video format is not compatible with my editing software. I had some sweet music to put over it too…

  1. Get them down. I have a tendency to “chicken wing” especially on reps. Which leads to a shoulder roll/chest drop.
  2. APT knee sleeves, actually. They give me support, but not nearly as much as a tight wrap. I prefer them to nothing or even wraps. My wraps are plain old inzer z wraps (also red and black)
  3. Indeed. ipod is a lifesaver.
  4. Thank you ma’am!

Dude has a name. Don’t objectify me.

Here’s the bb row vid. Took a little longer to upload, but I wanted to get it up so that y’all know I’m legit.

And before anyone says anything. I said I PRed but I never said anything about doing them super strict…

Also, I got my first piece of fan mail today.

I just want to give a warning about random complimentary PMs. Just because it is called a “private message” doesn’t mean I will choose to keep it private. I have no plans to name names, or post legit PMs, but if you randomly send me something I may put the message up for everyone to see. Just keep that in mind before you hit send.

This is not SAMA. I am not posting pics to show off how hawt/sexy/bootylicious I am. I appreciate compliments as much as the next girl, but that’s not really what I’m here for.

^ Hey! Any comments I make about your booty are supposed to be private, especially when I sign them with xoxoxo.

The before and after pics of your back are amazing. Lots of great lifting vids. Legit heavy squats.

I had no idea you’d been lifting for so long. Awesome. I’m gonna learn a lot over here!

okay…so basically elbows should stay at your sides and pointed back? not out and up?

elbows should be at your sides and pointed at the floor. imagine trying to pull the bar around you.

its one of the cues i need often, still. drive my elbows forward and watch myself make a lift i almost missed. kinda neato.

I’m shouting “LATS! ELBOWS!” at her in the video. Squeezing your lats and (trying to) force your elbows under the bar keeps an arch in your upper back and minimizes the chance of your chest dropping and you missing the lift.

sorry about the PM…

couldn’t help it!!

j/k

 Lookin good though…and i never doubted your legitness

I also cook!

Thanks for posting a video of your squats! I watched them before I squatted today, then cursed myself for spending two years tippy-toeing around this lift like a scaredy cat. I’m going to learn to squat fiercely.

YESSSS!

So I didn’t train today. But my day was full of awesome food.

I got to eat a giant piece of coconut cake with cream cheese frosting. And two pieces of pound cake. And a delicious dinner. All I had to do for all the awesome food was sit through a church service and pretend to follow along with all the singing and prayers. That part was actually a lot of work, but I think I did a pretty good job. I don’t think anyone caught on to the fact that I don’t believe in any of that crap.

I also got McDonald’s breakfast which was awesome, only because I never eat McDonalds. So, uh, needless to say, I didn’t come even remotely close to following my usual diet, but it was awesome. I did have a shake with my Micky-Ds at least. And of course SH laughed at me and called me a meathead when I pulled my shaker out of my purse and filled it up with ice water at the little drink counter thing. Whatever.

Oh! We also picked up some noms from Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. The thing I’m most excited about is the 150 CALORIE A PINT ice cream that we finally found. OMG Can’t wait to try it.

Cliff Notes: I got to spend time friends and family and eat way too much delicious food. Good day.

Deloading this week. Boo!
