Birds Diet Relapse

dan john had a food article where he listed a bunch of food… and said you could eat whatever you damn pleased after you ate all you were supposed to. pretty sure a bag of apples was one of the foods on the list. guess the idea is that whatever you were craving to binge you would have forgotten all about it by the time you finished your bag of apples lolz.

more seriously though, i still think chickens are pretty good. i got to the point of eating a whole chicken after squats near the end of the volume part of the RSR… sweet things… do you bake?? almond flour / meal is pretty good. high in calories, yeah, but no gluten and almonds are pretty good. google ‘gluten free whole orange cake’. make it with tangelos and don’t worry about boiling the darned things. or get some decent quality cocoa powder (100% chocolate) and make 1 minute microwave cakes or something.

maybe your body wants the calories that it could get from chicken skin / fat, butter, almonds, cocoa solids etc… you just need to train it out of the twisties and oreos processed crap. seriously learn to bake. some of that shit is delicious.
Have a link to the article? I like Dan John and must of missed that one.

Bird, don’t trust anyone who claims they’ve never eaten 6 chocolate chip cookies or who can’t make a comment in the nutrition thread without engaging in obnoxious swearing.

You have established a bad habit of eating too much at a certain time of the day. It’s probably best not to over think it. Probably everybody who has ever tried to cut body fat has done this. No need to psychoanalyze. The best thing to do is replace the bad habit with something else.

When you wake up from an afternoon nap drink a bunch of water, brush teeth, use mouth wash, and get outside on a walk until you are fully awake and the window has passed. There are certain foods, like Peanut M&Ms for example, that can’t be in my house. I make my husband take them to work with him. :slight_smile:

Birds typical diet;

breakfast;
oats with cinnamon and honey, 3 organic eggs on 1 piece of toast, short machiatto

11am;
I eat lunch, depending where I am, usually its meat such as chicken or salmon with rice or/and some salad. And some coconut water.

2pm;
Protein bar, nuts, and sometimes a vegetable juice(beetroot and carrot). Some 85% dark chocolate if I feel the need for some “antioxidants”

5pm;
Usually pre training meal consisting of jelly on toast and coffee.

7pm;
Dinner, changes all the time, but I like to base it on a meat source such as steak/fish

9pm:
If Im hungry Ill have a protein shake, and maybe a piece of fruit

I know! Nice to see ya. Another thought (after I told you not to over think it), maybe you need to take in more of your cals earlier in the day? That could account for having the severe afternoon munchies? I don’t know, but I’ve done the exact same thing, if I’m eating on a deficit and if I’m going to go off the rails with my eating, it will be in the afternoon. I train in the mornings usually and it’s hard for me to want to eat a lot before noon. I think for me it’s just a bad habit thing.

Also, this is a whole different beast when you are already lean than when you have 50 pounds to loose. Keeping off, or loosing the last 5 pounds of fat is in many ways a lot more difficult. You are asking your body to be leaner than it wants to be. I’m guessing this hobby could turn almost anybody into a bulimic. LOL! Seriously, I think just replacing the bad habit with something else is the best way to tackle it.

First, just as a general comment, you are an idiot.

Second, “plenty of cardio” and “heavy ass weights.” usually mutually exclusive, always lead to needing to eat a ton.

Third, post your diet. Smart money is on it being completely retarded, particularly given that you apparently have a pantry full of oreos and english muffins.
I LAUGHED HARD.

anyways i feel you this happened to me a lot while bulking. Waking up from naps i had the strongest urge to have sex and eat everything in sight mostly carbs.

this hasn’t happened at all recently after dieting lately and raising carbs. i dunno if this has anything to do with it though.
I thought this was just part of being a man.

You joke about it, but I consume nothing but chicken, rice, brazil nuts, and unsweetened cranberry juice. Maybe a little BBQ sauce to help get it down since I’m eating a whole rotisserie chicken and two cups of rice each day. No, I don’t enjoy eating- but I eat what I do because it’s best for my physique goals. And there are plenty of people who eat more strictly than I do because that’s what gets them optimal results.

If your diet is allowing you to get the results you want, then fine- go with it. It just comes off as really obnoxious that you made a thread complaining about “relapsing” and asking for an easy solution to prevent future relapses when your normal diet would be a cheat day for a lot of people.

Brother, he’s addicted to coffee, the silent killer, and relapses on twisties and oreos.

Guy has a serious problem.

Please get help, Bird.
