Biotest Found In Museum of Science

Hey, I was at the Museum of Science in Boston with a friend yesterday. I usually go there every year, but this year there is a new exhibit for X-rays, CT scans, and such things. There is an adjacent booth on obesity. Next to 5 pounds of simulated fat is a box of HOT-ROX. I thought it was cool and have attached a photo. The booth wasn’t for or against supplements, it just had listed questions such as:

-Was there ever a time when food wasn’t fuel for you?

-What side effects are you willing to accept for a “magic pill” to help you lose fat?

-Do the risks of stomach stapling outweights the benefits?

And so on.

So, is the message that a bottle of HOT-ROX gets rid of a pound of plastic fat?

Considering that plastic isn’t organic and biogradeable, I would say that is pretty impressive, no?

I should’ve taken a second a better photo, but there were other supplements (obviously), a caliper to measure bodyfat (not skinfold, the fatty kind), a glass of what I hope is water, and a chart of calories burned by certain activities. The display also threw up a claim that 65% “of us are carrying too much fat.” It described people getting fat as too much calories in and not enough calories out, and described liposuction and stomach stapling.

That rising obesity rate (wasn’t it 55% last year?) makes me sad, yet at the same time, each year I feel more and more special, being in the other 35%.

whoa that’s cool that Biotest products are there…any publicity is good publicity.

i should swing by and check it out; any idea how long that will be on display? i love the MOS, especially the omni theater!

man im a dork.

I dont think you should go. You’ll probably try stealing the bottle so you can cut more

hahaha

dammit; you caught me!

Obviously the glass contains exactly 8 ounces of water to wash down the HOT-ROX (per the instructions).

I’m ashamed to say I haven’t been to the MoS (or MFA for that matter) in years. Time to go check em out again. Thanks for the post.
