Biggest Deadlift Possible?

Very strong, but also misleading. Not powerlifting…thats an axel deadlift, the weight is higher off the floor, the bar has more flexion which makes for an easier lift and straps are allowed.

Not comparable to the 1003 world record.

Yeahhh… but what about a deadlift with normal size plates

It takes someone to do something before other people can or will do it.No one could bench over 500 lbs untill Reg park put it up after that more and more people were doing it because it had been done and people beleived they could do it.More people will DL 1000 now.

The four minute mile barrier is a good example of that.

Oh for sure, with Don Cundy pulling the first 800, Dan Wohleber the first 900 and Andy Bolton the first 1000, it just took someone to do it and then others followed. I am just curious as to how far it can go. Heck, Benedikt Magnusson is already talking about how he will return to powerlifting and break Bolton’s record, and with his 1100 lb tire deadlift and 970+/- competition lift I am not going to be the one to tell him he can’t.

I always thought benni would do 1000+ before Bolton.

Yes Benni is by far the best deadlifter at present but I reckon he will achieve much greater numbers in the coming years. This is just my idea but its only a short time ago that Benni lifted in the IPF were he would have been tested. Bolton has been lifting with the juice monkeys at the WPO for years now so hes probably run more cycles than the russian olympic team. Since Benni came across to IFSA he will have had the chance to use ASS comfortably throughout the season without worrying about dope tests.

Absolute horseshit. I can’t believe that you actually think the IPF is drug free.
