^ I’m sure there are tons of fights that are fixed in some way but I have doubts that this fight was. Choi couldn’t beat Fedor on his best day so fixing the fight would be pointless. Fedor has taken out much better oponnents.
I think this thread lost track because to those of us that don’t know the history behind the posts that started this thread it just seems like the OP was trying to prove that being big is a deciding factor in combat. So let’s make it clear, I can kick anyone on this sites ass and I’m only 180 lbs!!! Anyone who argues is just dumb and probably smells funny.

What’s with all the straw men in this thread?
. I mean it’s never going to happen anyway but seriously they’d lose.
The more I read this site, the more I’m inclined to believe this entire site is made of straw men.
It goes both ways, really. For every fag-hawk sporting, tapout wearing, loud mouth skinny punk who thinks he can blue from two MMA lessons, there is a insecure lifter who thinks just by merit of lifting heavy objects, that he can blue.

Agreed. Thank god someone understands what I was trying to say.

Dude, if that’s what you were trying to say… christ, you were far from it.
^^The OP made it seem like you thought otherwise. This theory goes with anything tho.
For every Fauxhawk fag with a tapout shirt thinking he knows how to fight there is and equal amount of BB who think just because they have 20" arms they can fight, and there is an equal number of gangsters who think if they shave their heads and wear baggy clothes they can fight, and an equal number of thugs who think if they listen to rap music and wear dewrags they can fight, or tall guys who think that just because they’re taller than most people that they can fight… Lesson is everyone is a baddass in their own world, but generally speaking most real baddasses don’t need to go around telling everyone how bad they are. They don’t feel the need to prove themselves and they don’t go around callin out other guys just to test how bad they are.
Anyone who goes on the internet and starts calling out BBers or anyone else they don’t know and begins stating that they can whoop their ass is an internet tough guy and deserves no respect in my book.
I think not. This is for all you random bitches who post in the BB forum who rag on about how a small guy who trains will kick a big guys ass. This is for all you Broski’s out there who wear your TapouT shirts and hats while doing 21’s for biceps EVERY FUCKING DAY OF THE WEEK with you BIG ASS SUNGLASSES AND SKINNY CHICKEN SHIT LEGS!

I thought the Ref (well, guy with KSW on his shirt) won with that arm lock at the end… only kidding.
What I hate, however, is the idiots who go to a boxing/kickboxing class (or hell, any pragmatic combat art) full of ego and testosterone, challenge a fighter to sparring, and then when they get their asses handed to them, they try to justify that it would be different “on the street”, like if somehow magically stepping outside of a ring and taking gloves off gives them a hidden fighting ability that will only awaken when the dangers of the streetz are present, bro.
While I’m at it, the misconception that because someone trains in a combat sport, they won’t think of dirty shit like hitting you in the balls or biting. Fuck off. I’m telling you now as an amateur boxer, that if someone jumps me in the street, I’m not going to dance around and fire jabs at them, I’m going to kick them between the legs and then I’m going to moonwalk all over them while they’re down.

See that’s worthy of a thread of its own, because I’m a firm believer that while you might not dance and jab, you’re going to throw a really hard combination because that’s become your instinct. Hell, that’s why i box in the first place!

Man I’ve read a couple of your posts now and there are quite a few inaccuracies… get it together. But back on point.
Oon the hong man choi fight… that was a new years eve show that they were putting on for shits and giggles… hung man choi has never trained seriously a day in his life and I doubt fedor had a training camp before that fight.
No one looks at that fight as a legitimate fight on his record… its just a space holder. I believe ever armbar Fedor has ever done is from his back… does this mean that no one should ever take him to the ground.
This thread is dumb… fightingIrish said it perfectly
You have no idea what you’re talking about. I said watch that he went for the same armbar multiple times. I am not a professional fighter. I trained for 2 years, and I know better. These are professional fighters. When I see something like that, out of ‘the best lb for lb fighter in the world’, it makes me think they’re keeping him on top. If they have the best, people will pay to see the best. Don’t quite understand how my OPINION has inaccuracies…
But, my genius, far-superior-than-all friend, you are telling me that hong man choi, who you claimed has never trained a day in his life, was able to take Fedor down/keep Fedor down… but someone like Nog struggles to?
Please.
I was talking about other posts in your post history not any opinions you have presented… and I was being somewhat sarcastic… Hung man choi took fighting seriously at the beginning of his careers but stopped caring later on because in that region they love anyone that is huge so he would get fights regardless… He is famous for his size and lives off that… more power to him… He definetly enjoys fame more then fighting and anyone can see that. And I thank you for the compliment didnâ??t realize you saw me as your superior… Sadly I am not accepting an apprentice at the moment.
^^The OP made it seem like you thought otherwise. This theory goes with anything tho.
For every Fauxhawk fag with a tapout shirt thinking he knows how to fight there is and equal amount of BB who think just because they have 20" arms
Never seen a bbing vet do that kind of thing… Pretty much just the same kind of people who do it on both sides: Clueless wannabes (who don’t usually have 20 inch arms, or so I’d hope . And I would call them neither bodybuilders nor fighters, whether they’ve spent 3 hours or 30 years training for either activity… Being called a fighter or bodybuilder kind of implies having made an appreciable amount of progress in said activity and deserving respect and recognition for it, at least among other fighters or bodybuilders (or what have you).
Well, ok, you get idiots among the vets too on both sides…
But I don’t remember any of those attacking the other activity, just their own people in best wrestling-theatrics fashion.
they can fight, and there is an equal number of gangsters who think if they shave their heads and wear baggy clothes they can fight, and an equal number of thugs who think if they listen to rap music and wear dewrags they can fight, or tall guys who think that just because they’re taller than most people that they can fight… Lesson is everyone is a baddass in their own world, but generally speaking most real baddasses don’t need to go around telling everyone how bad they are.
That would be my point as well… But what about wrestlers then?
They don’t feel the need to prove themselves and they don’t go around callin out other guys just to test how bad they are.

Anyone who thinks lifting weights has no value in a fight is kidding themselves. Same goes for someone training any MMA style. If you train something, your probably more valued in a fight than a dude who acts like he fights. Experience with anything is valuable.

I’ve had several conversations with people regarding boxing and they all seem to think that when a boxer gets into a street fight he is going to dance and slip punches while jabbing and moving. That type of movement is only necessary when facing an equally or near equally skilled oponents. Any trained striker is going to have an unfair amount of speed and power compared to an untrained fighter. Throwing a few combinations in successions is usually all thats needed (unless they’re one hitter quitters) and thats all she wrote.
I remember talking with my cousin and she was saying how 50 Cent had made a comment that if he ever saw Oscar Delahoya in the street he would be sorry. I laughed and said Oscar would wipe the floor with him. She disagreed and said 50 Cent is too buff for Oscar and Oscar would try and dance around while 50 would be throwing punches. LMAO… That is one fight I would love to actually see and take bets on how long it would last, I would say 20 secs at most.
How have boxers images been transformed from dangerous strikers to pretty dancers with no application in “real” fighting?? I blame Mayweather mostly.
