Big Thanks!

I don’t think it is fair for me to take all of the credit for my body composition article. Eric, Heb and Mufasa went the extra mile to proofread my article and provide feedback and comments. They deserve a big thanks not only for doing this for me, but for consistently posting great information.

Last but not least, I have to thank all the guys (and gals) here on the forum, especially all of you who have participated on the various threads related to body composition. The questions you ask, push me to learn more every day. Thanks a lot!

Jason…you beat me to posting something about your article…I thought you did a great job (along with everyone else who helped too)…keep the great posts coming here in the forum too, your advice is always much appreciated.

Everything I’ve posted, I’ve learned from you Jason. Except, of course, the occasional time when my posting have been in error, which occurs due to sometimes reading those other forums.

That was a great article regardless of who wrote it. Ive never really kept up on my bodyfat percentage but im going to now. Thanks for writing it.

Jason,

First of all, great article. Secondly, you might get a chuckle out of this. I worked as a personal trainer for Bally's back in '90 - '92 when I was in college. Do you believe that their method of choice for BF calculation was the waist / wrist conversion method?

Even now, if you go to certain websites (like the Zone diet) they still use this method. I think Bally's has upgraded to more sophisticated means of measuring BF, but it goes to show how far we can get in ten years.

Send me 50 bucks and I will say something nice about you. Otherwise… :(~

SBET - thanks for the kudos!

Heb - You're a stud and a great asset to this forum. You deserve some praise for that.

Shane - let me know how it goes for you. I love to hear your feedback or any questions you get along the way.

Mike - Thanks, it doesn't suprise me at all. I generally don't like anthropometric data (aside from skinfolds). It just doesn't track changes very efficiently, but it is easy to use.

Avoids - don't think I didn't see your name change comment. LOL, I thought it was pretty funny. BTW, I'll hold on to my $50, I saw your comment from last week :)

Thanks Jason. I’ve just learned I’ve been testing my bodyfat wrong. I used to take horizontal folds instead of vertical folds. It means a big difference. My old way was 8% but your way was 12%, which I know is a lot more accurate.

It was a pleasure; I learned a lot in providing feedback to Jason on the article on top of the countless things he teaches me in every post and email. Plus, he never gives me too much crap about how badly the Kings always beat up on the Celtics when they play:) Here’s to many more outstanding articles!
