Big Protruding Clavicles

Within a couple of years as you build a career, get more world experience, house payments etc etc you really wont think twice about this. Only very superficial girls will care or even notice and they care even more about money and cars anyway :joy_cat:

Just add overall mass with advice given in your other thread. Further down the line once you put on 15-20lbs can specialise with this…

There is actually a girl who likes me and she has been complementing my body but since I don’t love myself I have been afraid to ask her out, even though I know she wants me to, im retarded I know. Do you guys think I can pack on 20lbs of muscle in a year with perfect diet and training?

I realize I have been training inefficiently the entire time sadly so im currently changing to a 2x split but havn’t decided which, probably something similar to push/pull. In the past i tracked strenght on deadlift, squat and bench and those went up quite a bit over the past year.

Recently an average day of eating would be something like this:

Meal 1:
200g greek yoghurt
Protein shake,
50g granola
20g walnuts
2 eggs

Meal 2:
Protein bar

Meal 3:
200g chicken breast
2 slices of whole wheat bread
Mashed potatoes

Meal 4:
120g fiber cereal
16 oz skim milk
2 bananas

Meal 5 (post workout):
Protein shake

Meal 6
200g ground beef
100g whole grain spaghetti
Spaghetti sauce
Pineapple or something similar

I tried to be as honest as I could. Im not necessarily scared of fat, I just don’t want to get too fat. I know for a fact that I ate too little during the first 2 years, I even went through cuts lol. I had zero mass but that was in high school so the abs hype was real. Yeah im trying to forget about it  I should look at it with the perspective that I have great potential for mass and strenght instead, since they appear thicker than average, I simply don’t have the mass to cover them I guess as people have said.

I always though I was ā€œbigā€ because people keep telling my I lift etc, probably because Im tall and have broad shoulders and decently defined arms. I took a good look at myself with mirrors and pictures and realized with your help here at tnation that I am really not. Looking forward to a good year of bulking with muscle and strenght gains

Just ask her out.

If I say no, will you not try? If I say yes, will you try any less hard. Just do it, stop trying to quantify potential.

Ive been there several times, as I’m sure have many guys here. You’re just afraid of the feeling of nerves/shit-your pants butterflies. It just means you need to build up your capacity to handle social pressure(vital skill for buisness also) now is the time to do that.

Do you have her no? Dont ā€œask her outā€ just go for a coffee with her or nexttime you go to party club/ say ā€˜come down/let me know if like to come with’ ie dont make it a big deal

Yeah putting on a lean 20lbs(technically wont all be muscle) is totally plausible at your age. Also add greens to your diet, as much as can be bothered,

20lbs probably not. 15 lbs, possibly. 10 lbs, definitely if intelligently planned. It’s always good to have a conservative goal you know you can reach, as well as a difficult goal that you have to REALLY want to achieve it

Well, 20lbs of muscle is my goal, just wanted to hear people out to get an idea of how realistic that goal is.

It’s definitely achievable, it won’t all be lean though but in terms of scale weight yes it’s realistic.

I think your And arting from a good place, it’s your consistency over a long period of time that’s gonna get you there, it is a slow process and you have got stay committed.

Training less was a great move for me, quality over quantity and more rest. You have got to experiment and find what works, that’s why I was asking exactly what your training sessions look like, maybe your doing to much and would benefit from a bit more quality.

Assuming that’s a typical day, I would add 50g of blended up oats and a shot of olive oil to both of your daily shakes. Up your nuts to 50-80 gram. Maybe a few more vegetables too wouldn’t hurt. That will give you some easy extra clean calories.

Just a last thing guys, my physio told me my right pec minor and subscapularis was tight, also had some GIRD. He gave me some stretches but is that something that can cause he asymmetry between the two ac joints? The right is more protruding as you can see on the image above. He told me it could help but I wasn’t really sure about what he was talking about. The bones are identical on x-ray but not on the outside, makes me think tha there is something else. Thanks again for your help.

Check out WebMD, it’s full of good information for hypochondriacs like yourself.

c’mon mate. This is starting to get ridiculous.

I guarantee that if you add 20lbs of mass the clavicle bone thing will stop being an issue. Your time and energy would be spent much better working towards that than obsessing over your weird dysmorphic clavicle obsession

I have little calves. They used to make me sad. They are still small, but now I wear sweat pants to the gym every day. Can’t see em, can’t really be bothered. I have considered training them heavily, but focusing on them makes me feel unhappy and bored. So I don’t.

Just ask girls to join you to things you’d like to do/already be doing anyway. It’s scary the first couple times, but you’ll eventually you’ll realize they’re humans looking for companionship too.

Welcome to the club, I’m slowing turning my once despicable calves into not very good calves, hoping one day to have sufficient calves.

If you looks at the current body building thread, it’s discussed with Stu. He gave me some great advice which I have followed to the letter. And to my surprise I’m seeing vast improvements when before it was hopeless.

obviously i can equally understand if you can’t be arsed!

Stop with the Frankenstein split, go into a full body, push/pull/legs or upper/lower, it’s going to be much more beneficial for your goals and considered your training status/experience.
Press things overhead, it will improve your shoulders, traps, serratus and scapular stabilization. Do chinups variations, rows and face pulls.
All of this while eating to grow. Eat for real, put on mass, even if it’s not 100% clean mass.
I assure you that (1) you’ll find yourself looking better and stressing less with more mass around that area; (2) you won’t notice those bones every human being has between shoulders and neck if they’re sorrounded by some serious traps, neck and shoulder muscles.
I too had boney clavicles like a ton of people. To some degree, I find them aesthetic, honestly. If you want to cover them up, put on mass, meaning, muscle. I also had a flaring rib or something like that near to the upper left abdominal, guess what… put on mass and trained abs, now it’s covered. Still not perfectly simmetrical to the other but much better. In time and with more training and more muscle and more mass around, it will be fine.

Ask the girl out, she’s already complimented your body, you just need to go full Excalibur on her.
Point is, your body only does that much. Girls/women don’t look so much at your body, they surely appreciate it, but what really wins them over is confidence.
People with good bodies can have lots of girls because with those bodies they acquired a certain degree of confidence, it’s not the other way around.
Which is why people with average-subpar bodies manage to get laid too, or our species would have been extinct by now.

You guys should lighten up on this dude. Lots of guys are self conscious about their clavicles.

Marcane, have you tried this throw-back look?

Even Big Poppa Pump, The Genetic Superfreak hates his bony shoulders!

Yeah I have some problems with my view of myself, working on it, thanks again for your help guys. I actually have sick calves genetics  I apoligize for this thread being some sort of story about my life and my concerns. Will work toward my goal of men’s physique.

Lmao, need to get me one of those

Throw a pic up, make us feel bad our terrible calves! Then we can all feel conscious together.

Not the best picture, Im pretty happy with them.

Good stuff, you can get past your body issues, you have got to live with them and except that they make absolutely no difference to our lives, if you can do that and also work towards banging on some mass you will be golden.

my wife fell in love with me when I was a 9st bag of bones. She couldn’t care less about my physique, I try showing her how much muscle I’ve added to my delts over this past year, guess what? absolutely not bothered!
