In this article, which basically covers German Body Comp. training, I’m confused re: the tempo of lifts. They’re presented in this manner:

3 Being eccentric
2 Being pause bw ecc. and conc.
1 Being concentric
This 321 tempo is presented for lat pulldowns. So you’d pull down the weight for 1 second and immediately let it raise for 3 seconds. Then you’d rest for 2 secs. in the stretched position? Doesn’t this seem strange? Shouldn’t you pause for the 2 minutes in the contracted position, rather than the stretch position?
