Biceps Won't Grow?

Firstly, your burning a ton of calories if your MMA training is intense, so it makes sense to eat more. Also, if you feel up to it, why not try to work in an extra day of biceps, especially if you dont like how they look and strength is and issue. They do not necessarily have to be worked on the same day as your back. Work some biceps training during leg day as well(assuming thats how your split goes)or even devote a whole day to working out arms, if you cna fit it in.

Its hard enough just to get that much food down.

^^^Sentooguy put in much better terms than I did. What days do you train MMA?

I agree that weight training after mma training can be questionable even you are flawess with your nutrition. How many pull-ups/chins can you do? With weight? Think about how many people you’ve seen doing bicep work and the ratio of them that actually had impressive bicep development. Have you ever seen anyone rep out weighted chins that didn’t have impressive bis?

Really? Are we going to resurrect and beat this already dead horse yet again? I mean really?

So your prescription for his lagging biceps is less direct bicep stimulation? On what world does that make any sort of sense?

EDIT
Regardless of what you say I will not be responding, to avoiding hijacking the thread.

Here are some quick and easy ways to increase calories:

  1. add a Tbsp of peanut butter to your meals (or shakes)
  2. add a Tbsp of olive oil to your shakes
  3. utilize liquid nutrition (I posted a recipe for a shake in the T-Cell cookbook thread that is around 1,200 calories)
  4. junk it up (i.e. get a couple whopper jr.s from the BK $1 menu, or some other fast food source that is very calorie dense and cheap)

There are more, but these are fairly easy and quick.

Eating big isn’t easy for ectomorphs (or anyone really once you get to a certain point), but it’s a necessary evil if you want to add substantial amounts of muscle. It basically comes down to whether you are willing to do what it takes or not.

How strong are you on your bicep exercises that you do? (doesn’t have to be 1RM… in fact that number is pretty irrelevant). And how has that grown in the past 6-12 months? How about tricep work?
