Beyond Human

CG Bench
index fingers rimming smooth
45x10 paused
135x12 paused
225x6 paused
275x6
315x2
340x2

NOTES:

 1. Going to start recording grip width now as it bears more significance now. More on that in a bit.
 2. Once again, I’ve treaded a very thin line today. I feel like my pecs just want to tear. This isn’t a new sensation, but it’s becoming more prevalent now, so I’m decided enough is enough. I’m going to vary my grip more between sessions.
 3. These sets felt awkward. A little slow at the chest, but lockout was still pretty strong.
 4. Upper lats felt like they wanted to pop. Kinda weird.

Incline Bench
135x10
185x6
210x6

Notes:

 1. Had to call it. Pecs felt iffy and left shoulder was numb.
 2. Same awkwardness experienced on flat bench. Weights were easy though.

Standing High Pulley Rows
worked up to the whole stack
30,25,25,20

NOTES:

 1. I liked these. Nice pump all over back and shoulders felt much better.

Pullups
just a few

Bradford Press
55x30,30

NOTES:

 1. Bumped the weight up on these. Same effect. Still feel great. Nice pump.

EZ-bar Curls
8,12

SUMMATION:
I need to drink more water. I need to do mobility work. I need to visit a chiropractor at some point. Not a bad day though.

Hi Greg!

Srs question, what’s it feel like to be a fat kid with love handles who doesn’t know anything about leg training?

You should probably just quit amirite

I cry myself to sleep sometimes … okay I lied … I cry erry time … erry time

On the banded leg press, I’m thinking about controlling the eccentric a little more. Funny thing is … I can feel my legs growing from yesterday. It’s pretty cool.

H8rz make me sob … famous sob

I have a good lockout but am slow off the chest also. Does this mean chest/shoulder weakness, and strong tricep-ness?

For me, it means tightness issues for the most part. Back when I had my tightness dialed in, it legit felt like I was wearing a loose bench shirt after I setup. I was launching 90+% off my chest to lockout. I’ve gotten stronger but my technique has gotten worse. That’s something you might want to look into as well.

This isn’t to say that certain areas don’t need to be made stronger. Everything must be strong(er). That’s one of the few constants in the iron game.

Lax balling your chest may be worth looking into. I’ve found that to help.

I’ve been thinking about that. Will do.

I’m thinking I want to pull soon

I’m thinking about trying a volume oscillating method. As I approach the peak of the oscillation, volume for main lift decreases (emphasizing intensity) and volume for assistance increases. As I approach the trough of an oscillation, volume for the main lift increases and the volume for assistance decreases (emphasizing intensity). Essentially wave-loading but a different way of looking at it. Programming would adhere to a graphical wave and dictating formula.

Despite the wording, not much thought would go into it, so I’ll have no problem sticking with it. This is pretty much how I lift anyway after thinking about it. Locally it looks chaotic, but globally there is a scheme that can be measured. Obvious kinks are obvious, but since I’m now aware of it, I can make a few modifications for prolonged success. Why volume? Some time ago, I made a cheese grater/drill analogy. Volume is the cheese grater, and intensity is the drill.

The cheese grater affects surface area while the drill affects depth. The way I see it, intensity spurs peak performance while volume spurs adaptation. Intensity makes you your strongest. Volume makes you stronger. I now have a perspective and a method. I’m feeling pretty special lol … notreally.jpg. Just a brain fart.
I agree with this spar. In my own training i find that with high intensity a lower overall volume works better and with lower intensity higher volume works better. Although i do go more instinctively rather than a planned sort of thing.

Good work overall as well bro.

Yeah I’m the same. This is just what I’ve noticed from myself. Thanks.

It will be near insurmountable to top. Writing was superb. Cast was phenomenal with excellent chemistry. Story made sense and was character driven. Nonstop awesomeness. Genius humor. On top of that, one of the most badass villains for the sequel. So much nerdgasm and I’m more of a DC guy.
I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in the cinema at a film that wasn’t primarily a comedy. Wicked humour, particularly from Stark. The action was top notch too - loved the bit where the Hulk smashed the worm thing in the face haha.

I’m a bit of a noob - who is this Thanos guy, and why is he so badass?

Also I found that when my chest/shoulders feel fucked taking a mini band and laying on the ground and doing like 100 floor presses (might take a bit to get the tension right so its through the whole movement) and 100 dislocations helps.
