Definitely dress up for the man. Worst case scenario you feel sexy
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having issues with the thyroid and I really hope you get it cleared up soon. We only have so much time on this earth. Might as well spend every minute feel the best that we can.
Since they all developed muffin tops and belly rolls, Puffy. Sigh.
I’ve found that I really must have a waist in my clothing because with my broad shoulders and big boxy hips, I just look like a brick shithouse otherwise.
Definitely v-neck and belted/cinched in at the waist. Hardly any fun daytime dresses like that though. Is there a rule on what kind of dress you can belt? Like the high empire waist kind might look cute if I could use a belt…but not sure if that would look retarded…
Even the tops like ppuff mentioned are so boxy/hangy as for the reason why, what Cal suggested makes sense, lol.
damn. This is why I stick to tank tops/cammis and shorts. Basic basic basic.
And you know what else? Out of all the stores I browsed this weekend, wal-mart has the same crap accept cheaper. If you could buy two outfits for $30 as opposed to a pair of shorts for $30 which would you rather choose? I undesrtand that it may be a quality thing, etc… call me cheap. But Damn! shit is expensive out there.
I get what you were saying though. Moms have to take care of themselves too. I forget that sometimes. And we want to be superwomen. We’re not supposed to get sick!
I’ve always sucked it up though. It’s a learned behavior from growing up and hard to break.
Would it make you feel better to know that I’ve been calling everyday to see if there was any cancellations so I can get in to see my crazy bitch Dr. sooner? And I’m going today to see if I can get seen by someone else as well.
Because honestly, if she gives me her shit again, this crazy bitch will go off on her and there will be no one there to hold me back.
And fuck, I gotta ask about my knees too. The crunching is becoming to loud and annoying to ignore. But I don’t want bad news, so I can pretend it’s nothing??
yesterday we took the boat out and my crazy kids wanted to get in the water. I used to swim in lakes all the time…but now I have a complex about not wanting to swim in water I can’t see in.
freaks me out. But I was fully prepared to jump ship if need be.

I pretty much live in T’s, tanks and camis, mostly from Target and then pair them with jeans or skirts. At least they are fitted through the waist. I’ve been looking for a couple of nicer summery blouses to wear out to dinner kind of thing. A little dressier, and a little sexy. Not a buttoned up look with a collar, a more open neckline, but I’m with you. They tend to be flowy and boxy this year, or anything that isn’t a basic knit is more expensive than I want to pay. I went out with my hubbie shopping for Mother’s day and came home with ZIP!
He basically says if the crackling isn’t accompanied by pain then it’s probably nothing to be alarmed about. I have fucking awful crepitus in both knees (and a bit in my neck, too). I just roll with it.
Cal- my knees DO hurt, but less so now that I’ve been taking stuff. It’s the cartlidge that gets inflamed and what causes the aches. So while something may not hurt while I’m doin it, I’ll feel it later in the day. Like right now
My day started at 430am when the hubby’s alarm went off and I couldn’t get back to sleep. He had an ortho appt up at the far away hospital.
then my son was pulling his my ‘stomach hurts,’ routine…so I let him slide cause of course I feel bad and he’s got tears, etc…but then as the bus passes by you know he magically feels better and wants oatmeal and sausage…
To make a long story short he misses his dad even though his dad is ‘here.’ He wasn’t sick…just Daddy sick, cause he didn’t get his morning hug before he left.
So I felt like a big meanie, but I drove him to school. And I made it so he can talk to teh school counselor. Poor little dude. I actually think he has some sort of anxiety disorder. He’s always complaining of his head/stomach hurting…he keeps everything inside until he bursts. And that’s not good. It’s actually the opposite of how we’ve tried to raise him.
There’s a group of them that do there crossfit WOD whenever I’m there. It looks kinda interesting/fun…but I’d do it for conditioning rather than rely on it as my core training. Not sure if you have to sign up to join the group or you just come at a certain time and join in at will. I’ll ask next time.
This morning it was 12 sets/12 reps of like 5 different things and then they go hop on the treadmill for 1/4 mile after each set.
damn.
Then I saw a trainer who is BUILT. She looks like she could compete in bb’ing, but I think she just trains that way. She was pushing some serious weight and I thought, ‘I wanna train with that girl.’
Aside from Vic at the other gym, all the trainers did very retarded stuff.

So I’m getting a feel for the ‘gym characters.’

the gym is usually good for some people watching hahahaha
I’ve done some Xfit stuff for conditioning… it is a kick in the balls for sure… one day I did “Fran” as a warm up and again as a finisher after my normal workout… WOW. Horrible lol
Are you gonna talk to that built girl? Dare I say, new workout partner??? That would be awesome!

I secretly hope that I get her as the trainer for my free sessions. Would give me a chance to work my game.
sike, I’ve got no game.
Walked 30 minutes
Went to park did 22 bench push ups
came home and did 23 more push ups
:D[/quote]
Why don’t you just put in a little request to have her as your trainer? Say that you liked her style and would very much like to work with her and learn a few things. I’m sure they’d hook you up. I’m a big fan of what I like to call “the direct approach” haha
