I like Lew and PX, but if some guys can’t take a little feather ruffling on the internet than I feel bad for them.
It was a few threads at once, and drawn out over pages and pages. I’d leave too if I were in that position.
I see your point about Lew, I felt too many people harped on his lifts in this thread even after he decided to stop commenting about it and I can see how he felt like he was being shit on. Like I said, I like Lew and that was most definitely not my intention with this thread.

PX brought just about all of it on himself. Besides, he’s written many times that he comes to this site for entertainment. It’s no coincidence he’s always getting into the arguments he does.

Besides, he’s got too much of a vested interest in this place to leave now. This isn’t the first time he’s left, I’m sure he’ll be back.
Agreed on Lew, and no I don’t think it was your fault you said several times you weren’t trying to shit on him.

what are the odds that he’s started a new screen name and is trolling us all as we speak? Bunny Bench? HaveIronWillLift? huh?
Lol - yea - probably. Lanky is right - you haven’t seen the last of him.
Nah…certain posters seem like the type to create new accounts, but X doesn’t really give off that vibe.

He never really got involved in any of the shenanigans like the Trap Envy thread, the Nate Green Book thread, etc. Nor was he a regular on SAMA-- the hallmark of a poster who’d try the shenanigans. He could be an abrasive poster but that is far removed from a troublemaker.

[Unless you guys are joking and I misread.]

True story during that time when there was all of the Phil Collins hate I considered creating a “Phil Collins” account so I could post in Dwarf’s thread asking why people hated me, and then start a thread waging some kind of war on T-Nation.

But then I realized having 2 accounts would be pathetic, and honestly how would I continue that war declaration thread anyway? Seek out allies against ID? The thread would have been a dud.

That being said, I REALLY think it’s be awesome if the mods just outed the troll accounts whenever they noticed matching IPs or emails. Not only would the trolling stop, but for the the guys that got caught, the ensuing shitstorm would be far larger than what the troll could have started, anyway. Think about it.

Did you play Portal 1? I finally had to ditch my PS3 and buy a new one after 3 years. As much hours I put on that thing I cant really bitch nothing is made to last with that type of abuse. I was tempted with the DC universe, but I just dont have the time to spend doing anything online. I get a few hours here and there with one of those rare marathon sessions. I havent played a game in about 2 weeks, but that ends tonight

I agree on the Infamous 2 and Arkham look forward to those.
I did - I liked it, very clever idea, lots of fun and the new one looks even better - but like I said, my time is so limited I’m finding myself even passing on games I would have really liked to play. Missed Alan Wake, missed Killzone 3 - but I just don’t have the time and cash to drop 60 bucks on lots of games. And even with something like Gamefly (which I don’t have actually) I still don’t have the time - plus I hate to say it, but as I get older, and now that I have a kid - I kind of feel like I’m really wasting a lot of time when I play too much.

Like there’s something more productive I should be doing with my time. Maturity sucks… ; )

Not that I would ever stop gaming - I hope to be 90 years old in some kind of fuckin’ Holodeck with my grandkids…lol…
Yep that is why I am limited on what I invest my entertainment in however my kids are all old and out of the house. Youngest is 15 and she doesnt exactly want to be around her stepfather.
Killzone 3 was pretty good in co-op. I have heard iffy things on Alan Wake

Lew and PX probably took a hiatus from T NATION because they just felt like it.

Everybody does it from time to time. Maybe it was due to real life happenings, or it just wasn’t fun anymore.

I hope they’re both doing well.

What do you mean?
he owns lots of vests and is very interested in them
LMFAO!!!

This thread reminds me of when I posted years ago asking for some advice, and posted my lifts. Among them was a 215 kg deadlift. Most of the replies got hung up that - there was no way this skinnyfat kid was pulling 215. Got a video, and…Silence. Bottom line, people give less of a shit about what you can do than what they think you can’t.

I think the REAL moral of the story is that posting videos of your claimed lifts shuts up critics.

The key difference is the part where you ‘got a video.’ Bottom line is people tend not to believe fairly out there claims on the internet. Sometimes the claims are true and that’s just fine, but more often than not they are bullshit and thus people are pretty hasty to call it.

Also, way to bump a thread that had totally run it’s course.
