Iāve been concentrating on tri work since powerlifting days. dips and 700 pushups a week has driven my bench numbers up even though up until 4 weeks ago I hadnāt benched in 5 years. Guess consistency pays off.
I just went through this whole log from the beginning. Iām impressed, inspired, and looking forward to following you on your journey Beth.
Also, Psalm 23 is my favorite passage. God bless.
Insane strength chica. Remind me to never work out near you, so I donāt feel small and weak.

beth,
what changes/effects do you think you experienced while adding antidepressants to the mix? As it relates to strength training/nutrition/recovery ?

SSRIās made me feel very weak. They also made me feel very tired and numb - I lost my motivation to workout. The only good thing is I had no desire to binge - it took away the urge and also changed the way food tastes. I only stayed on Effexor for two weeks and it took me 3 months to recover my strength. As for NDRIās the jury is still out. I have been taking Welbutrin for a month now 300mg and my workouts are going well. I have more focus, energy, and it has had no negative effect on my strength. Nutritionally i feel like I retain more energy on less food, whereas before in the afternoons I felt completely zapped - mentally and physically drained. Now I can get through a brutal workout and it doesnāt ruin me for the rest of the day.
