I don’t understand what is wrong with half of these exercises. I also don’t understand why this thread is in the bodybuilding section. We reallllly need to clean this shit up.
Because we’re discussing the best and worst exercices for muscle building? How is that hard to understand? And also, there is of course nothing wrong with half of these exercices, I think player just wanted to see which exercices everyone thought was better. Nothing wrong with that. At least he created a constructive post which you sure as hell didn’t.
Some people jut enter threads to say the thread is useless and people in it are idiots. I always try to go to threads and say what I think, but it seems a real pleasure for some people to just get in a thread to talk shit. Thanks for the comprehension
I can’t believe no one has asked this already but…
Pushups are your best chest builder? Really???
For me it is, I do it we 3 of the 45s in my back, there will eventually come a time in which it becomes impractical. I also really enjoy them and Im also progressing like crazy in them. Id say anybody could give it a try.
Chest: Bench press / Push ups-bodyweight exercise, does not build much for me-
Bis: Preacher curl / Standing curls-doesn’t isolate well for me-
Tris: Face smasher, w/e its called/ Kickback
Legs: Front Squat / Running
Back: Deadlift / power cleans, I’m not good at them
Shoulder: push press / dumbbell raises
chest; Barbell bench press/ pec deck
Legs; Barbell back or front squat/ leg extension
Back; Deadlift/ lat pull down (still good though)
Biceps; Barbell curl
Tricep; dips/ rope pull downs.
Shoulders; Military press/ seated machine press
Just a note here, but why are some of you guys not seperating legs into quads/hams, especially when we’re splitting the upper arm(much smaller appendage) into bi’s and tri’s?
You can tell a lot about the person lifting with that note me thinks.
Back: deadlift–(i concentrate on using lower back as “part” of deadlift…some versions of deadlift do not use lower back as you lift strictly using the legs…i dont believe in that version as it basically mimicks the squat which i alreadly do), bent over/seated rows, and chinups/pulldowns
Biceps: Barbell curl
Tricep: standing skull crushers with db…standing allows a really good stretch and range of motion.
Shoulders; Military press, lateral raises, and bent over lateral raises
Quads: squat and leg press (i always do both)
Hams: leg curls
calves: donkey calf raises or calf raises on leg press
chest; Barbell bench press/ pec deck
Legs; Barbell back or front squat/ leg extension
Back; Deadlift/ lat pull down (still good though)
Biceps; Barbell curl
Tricep; dips/ rope pull downs.
Shoulders; Military press/ seated machine press

Reading all these lists, I’ve been searching for a good main triceps exercise. I do a lot of benching (2x a week) and have a day dedicated to arms. But I can’t do close grip and dips, there is a bit of pain when doing those exercises. I was thinking heavy tate presses and/or DB skullcrushers… what do you guys think?
skullcrushers are amazing you should do them, very hard and you can load a lot of weight. Do both barbell and dumbbells, nothing hits my triceps harder.

Yeah, skullcrushers are amazing. I find overhead skullcrushers hit my triceps the best.

Give DB tri extensions a shot. Use one heavy dumbell and an inline bench with adjustable seat or sit backwards on a preacher bench. Great ROM.
