hey guys whatsup? This is my first post on the site and I love all the workouts and everything on here. Anyways, I’m going to enter pro wrestling once I get outta college with a degree. The way I’m used to working out is just exclusively bodybuilding, as well as the stuff my coaches used to have me do in football, which was alot of olympic lifting/squats/deadlifts/kickass.
I want to find a workout that builds explosion that’d make it so I could have alot of functionality in the air, like I want my lifting to somehow contribute to being able to pull off corkscrew-flips of the top rope, and I want to be able to jump all the way across the ring.
I’m looking for something that has all kinds of power cleans, hang cleans, deadlifts (FAVORITE!), squat, bench, pull-ups, yet will still have a place for me to work on my physique, as in getting HUGE arms.
I know all about nutrition, I got that covered… but if I could just find something that fits the above. Anybody know where I can find something? thanks all
You should follow the workout regime of most WWE stars. Lift moderate weights as per Muscle and Fitness workout program and take a shitload of gear. Go insane and strangle your wife and kid or drop dead in your mid-30`s from a heart attack.
Or you could go on TV on a well watched talk show as the WWE champion and swear on your mother`s grave that you have never taken roids (which is actually true as you are known to take truckloads of GH which kind of explains your massive chin, forehead, hands and forearms and the fact that you are ripped all year despite eating McDonalds every day).
Make sure you bang some of that skank Diva a** if you do make it, and write back and tell me all the details.

Not really funny…
Anyway, Jackass over at elitefts trained for pro-wrestling for a while. Perhaps you could contact him and ask a few questions.
Keep training like a bodybuilder. Nothing is going to prepare your body for the very unique physical torture it will endure during your initiation. Just hope you’re ready!
Hey man I am not a pro wrestler but one of my close friends has done some small shows. He trained on short explosive burst stuff tire circuits, sledge hammer strikes almost like an MMA fighter. Of course he was kind of clutz so he started working in some Gymnastic stuff to get his body awareness going. He definantly said the cardio was the hardest part. Start training very intense on getting in shape and that will help.
