best way to cycle mag-10?

Just exactly is the best way to cycle mag10? I have heard that 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off is good but it doesn’t seem very effective. Can you take it for one month straight? What exactly is the best way? I have read cycling methods in T-MAG, but the forum always has others. So Bill, or whoever else can answer this question your expertise would be appreciated.

Anybody? Please.

If you search through the old Mag-10 Support threads you’ll see that many people tried various cycles, with varying results. I think I recall that Bill Roberts recommended at least 3 weeks between cycles, but I could be mistaken. As to why it might not seem effective, are you cutting right after a cycle? Bill Roberts has posted info in the past that said he didn’t recommend cutting cals dramatically for at least a week after stopping the Mag-10.

No, i just meant that 2 weeks on it doesn’t seem effective because it doesn’t seem like a long enough cycle. 4 weeks seems like a more realistic time period. But thanks for taking the time to give me an answer. APPRECIATE IT.

Two week cycles are very effective if you eat properly, train right, and take care of recovery needs i.e. don’t go into a cycle in an already overtrained state etc.

Tim gathered up some of the feedback on MAG-10 and posted it here: Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION (Scroll down past the myostatin info.)

My recent thinking has been quite the opposite! The vast majority of people report the gretest gains in the first week, with some, but lesser gains in the second. I was toying with the idea of doing 1 week on 1 week off then repeating, keeping calories ‘fairly’ high in the off weeks but reducing training the a GS3 level.

One reason why you might have experienced more gains in your first week as opposed to your second week would be that you kept your calories the same. I’ve noticed that the second week’s gains are quite close to the first week if you bump calories up 250-500 in the second week.

Some of the weight gained in the first week is from increased glycogen in the muscles due to the Mag-10 and increased calories. Likewise, the first pounds lost post cycle are the same thing. Therefore, two week cycles work pretty well IMO.
