Best Warm Up For Competition?

Tonight i have to max squat and bench in a mini combine/meet for my football team. What would be the best way to warm up to get my maxes. Bench around 225-230, squat 365-375.

Dirk,
Here is a link to Joe DeFranco’s recommendation on warming up for a BP max. I’d add the recommendation of Power Drive mixed with Green Tea 30 minutes prior.

Are you talking about a general warm up or a specific warm up for the lifts?
You should do some type of dynamic warm up before you start lifting. As far as the specific warm up is concerned, I think this was discussed earlier. Just remember that your goal is to lift the most weight that you can. This varies for people. Some need a lot of warm up sets/reps and others can get by with fewer. You have to know what works best for you. Make sure you get the blood flowing with a dynamic warm up first. It is much better than going in and benching or squatting cold.

Hope this helps a little!!

Hi.
If I were you, I’d try CTs “Tip of the day” with the bench.
This should take you there:

on a normal ME squat day, my workout would be something like this:

135x3, 225x3, 275x3, 315x3, 345x1, 365x1

Is that too much volume when im trying to find my max? Should i do something such as 135x3, 225x1, 315x1, 345x1, 365x1 instead?
