Best Supplements for Recovery?NOT talking PWO nutrition, as I already take Surge PWO.
And already get tons of BCAA/Glutamine through diet and protein supplements.
Is there anything out there (with reasonable supporting data) that is useful for aiding in recovery ?
(guess ill clarify that by “recovery” im talking about reducing soreness so that I can do additional cardio/hiit/lifting.
Thanks !
I noticed much better recovery when I added Mineral Support pre-bed. I slept better as well, which definitely helps with overall recovery.

I think the most obvious answer is to up your calories if you aren’t recovering as fast as you would like.
Taking a nap during the day when applicable also really helps.
I don’t think there’s a supplement that can outperform the suggestions I listed above.

Proper workout nutrition is really one of the biggest factors in maximizing recovery. And really, pre and during-workout nutrition is more important and more effective than post-workout nutrition and can kickstart recovery ASAP.
What does your daily diet look like?
What’s your height, weight, and general fat level (not percent, just a basic description - pudgy, joe average/smooth, ripped, etc.)?
Protein, carbs, and fats. Unfortunately, it is that simple.
What does your current training look like? If you’re excessively sore even with the right workout nutrition, it mght be worth tweaking your training plan.
Like Stu and Raj said, high quality sleep can do wonders for improving all-around recovery. I like the basic ZMA formula, but I haven’t used the Mineral Support blend myself.
