My Faves

[Immortal Technqique]
Immortal Technique in the trenches with my nigga Akir
Our family surived the genocides so we can be here
And now we enterprise the aftermath, one in the same
Living the revolution 'till we catch one in the brain
And even then my spirit will return in heavenly form
And wipe the chess board clean, of my enemies pawns
The red don communist threat, burried and gone
So they invented a war, the goverment can carry on
It makes me wonder if the word of god is lost in the man
This is for the children of Iraq, lost in the sand
This is for the illest emcees that’ll never be known
And this is for all the soliders that’ll never come home

Imm Tech-One

This cop bring the city hoppin like a rocka with binoculars
Took me and these 2 Rastas and a mobster cat for hostage
Said that we were imposters He’s an impatient government agent
From the United Nations and said we had the proper information
About the aliens vegetarians devils and aryans
These are civilized Barbarians we’ll fuckin bury them
One Rasta said “ya pussy blood clot” and got shot
I’m like fuck this I’m blowin up spots this shit is hot
We know about the plan to fill the projects with contraband
Drop bombs on Brazil so you can kill and conquer land
You drug trafficking your new creation for disease
To control the population in the States and overseas
To put poison in the weed and the milk we feed our seeds
You looked shocked that Sabac could know the plots to all of these
Took his glock lift a shot when the bastard wasn’t lookin
Threw him out then the mobster flew the chopper back to Brooklyn

Non-Phixion- Black Helicopters

There is no such thing as good rap lyrics. Rap music or should I say noise is terrible. There is nothing inspirational about any rap song I have ever heard. In fact most modern rap songs don’t even rhyme anymore.
I never understand people like you who post on a thread like this with something like that. It’s a thread full of people who like rap and its lyrics - why in the world would we care that you don’t like rap?

And last time I checked, some of the world’s best poetry doesn’t rhyme either.

I think he stated his valid opinion. And by the way, when i see a car driving by all “pimped up”(give me a break))with rap music playing super loud so that everone can hear I think, " what a moran."

So yes, you are correct when you say morans suck.

Ok I settled the whole thing. I wrote this catchy little rap that has all the most important words that are in just about every rap song written. it goes something like this.

first get a little beat going in your head and rap these words.

yoyo
check it out
word up
al’ight
yeeeaaaah
bling bling

now you will never have to listen to another rap song ever again. every time you feel like listening to rap song you can use this little rap and get all the emotion out of every rap song ever written.

Man these rappers are so original

Nabz I agree Sage Francis has some amazing stuff, “Crack Pipes” is real nice, and so is “Escape Artist”. And Black Helicopters, when can you not rock that song, beat , lryics all good. Immortal has some nice stuff, but I have never really listened to alot of his stuff. And there’s also Cage, don’t know how I forget him…For Shame…

Looks like someone hasnt even read any of the lyrics posted? Why are you so anti-rap?If you dont like rap dont listen to it, but dont be so biggoted and condescending as to insult our musical preferences based on your prejudices.

I love that Chappelles show skit where hes posing to be a rapper named Fisticuffs.

“Turn my headphones up! I’m serious nigga, turn them shits up!”

“THAT SHIT AIN’T GOIN PLATINUM ITS GOIN DOUBLE URANIUM BABY!!”

And some classic Lil Jon for all the haters…
You ride up to the club nigga, I don’t give a fuck
Sick of yo’ ass in the club bitch, I don’t give a fuck
Drinkin’ Cris in the V.I., I don’t give a fuck
Talkin’ shit ‘bout me, bitch I don’t give a fuck
You gotta pocket full of money nigga, I don’t give a fuck
You drinkin’ off with them ho’s bitch, I don’t give a fuck
In the club wit yo’ pussy click, I don’t give a fuck
Security on my dick bitch, I don’t give a fuck
Sometimes I wonder why Eazy-E died of AIDs. Then I read some of his lyrics like these and it answers my question.

Ok, first off just because I do not like rap does not make me a biggot.
If you read my message you would see that i think none of these guys are original. And that is what I am getting at. If on guy “in the rap culture” does something or says something than the rest have to and the kids listening have to. I thiink alot of rap lyrics do not rhyme, I think that making up words just so you can have a rhyme is ridiculous . And I think that it is not right when people try to shove this stuff down everybodies throat. For instance, when a car has a loud sound system in it with a lot of bass and i can hear it in my house from the road. Which is common everywhere these days. Hey your entitled to your opinion just like me.

Alright, stop! Collaborate and listen, Ice is back with a brand new invention. Something grabs a hold of me tightly, flow like a harpoon daily and nightly. Will it ever stop, yo, I don’t know. Turn off the lights and I;ll glow. To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal, light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle…

Seriously,
Me and you, yo momma and your cousin too. Riding on the strip on vogues, comin’ up slammin’ Cadillac doors.

Tight grip on the tech-9 now it’s time to creep, hollow tip in the clip, puttin them sukas in a deep sleep…

1,2,3, and to the 4, Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre at the door. Ready to make an entrance, so back on up, cause ya know we bout to fuck shit up. Gimme the microphone first so I can bust like a bubble, Compton and Long Beach together, now you know you in trouble. Ain’t nuthin but a G thang baby, two loced out niggaz always crazy, Death Row is the lable that pays me, unfadable so please don’t try play me…

How about som old Rage Against the Machine?

“A thousand years you had the tools
We should be taken ?em
Fuck tha g ride I want the machines that are
Makin? em
Our target straight wit a room full of armed
Pawn to
Off tha kings out tha west side at dawn
The rungs torn from the ladder can?t reach the
Tumor
One god, one market, one truth, one consumer
Just a quiet peaceful dance
For things we will never have”

“Weapons not food, not homes, not shoes
Not need, just feed tha war canibal animal
I walk tha corner to tha rubble that used to be a
Library
Line up to tha mind cemetery
What we don?t know keeps tha contracts alive an
Movin?
They don?t gotta burn tha books they just remove ?em
While arms warehouses fill as quick as tha cells
Rally round tha family, pockets full of shells”

"Word is born
Fight the war, fuck the norm
Now I got no patience
So sick of complacence
With the d the e the f the I the a the n the c the e
Mind of a revolutionary
So clear the lane
The finger to the land of the chains
What? the land of the free?
Whoever told you that is your enemy?

Now something must be done
About vengeance, a badge and a gun
?cause I?ll rip the mike, rip the stage, rip the system
I was born to rage against ?em

Now action must be taken
We don?t need the key
We?ll break in

I?ve got no patience now
So sick of complacence now
I?ve got no patience now
So sick of complacence now
Sick of sick of sick of sick of you
Time has come to pay…
Know your enemy!

Come on!
Yes I know my enemies
They?re the teachers who taught me to fight me
Compromise, conformity, assimilation, submission
Ignorance, hypocrisy, brutality, the elite
All of which are american dreams (8 times)"

I was all about my ends, fuck friends and foes
Me, a born leader, never leave the block without my my heata
Got me a dog and named her my bitch nigga eata
What could they do to me that little brat
Shit them niggas shot me and still terrified, I’ll get their ass
How can I show you how I feel inside
We outlawz motherfuckas can’t kill my pride
Niggas talk a lot of shit but that’s after im gone
Cause they fear me in physical form let it be known
I’m troublesome

God to forgive me cause it’s wrong but I plan to die
Need to take me in heaven and understand I was a sheep
Did the best I could, raised in insanity
Or send me to hell cause I ain’t beggin’ for my life
Ain’t nothing worse than this cursed ass hopeless life
Cause I’m troublesome

2pac.

First, I’m curious why you would even post on this thread. You have nothing productive to add. Everyone here is sharing in something they enjoy and you come and bash our common interest.

Second, I doubt you have even heard any rap that is not played on the radio or MTV. So your knowledge of the subject is likely severely limited. Otherwise you would know that only some rap contains the six phrases you listed above. Did you even read any of the lyrics already posted?

Finally, I’d love to know what profoundly deep and always original music you listen to. I’m sure there are no trends or themes common to different bands in whatever genre you enjoy, right? I am being completely serious here. What music do you like that is so superior?

I expect a reply,
Toddy

Backstroke lover always hidin’ ‘neath the covers
Till I talked to your daddy he say
He said you ain’t seen nothin’ till you’re down on a muffin
Then you’re sure to be a changin’ your ways
I met a cheerleader was a real young bleeder
Oh the times I could reminisce
‘Cause the best things of lovin’ with her sister and her cousin
Only started with a little kiss
Like this

Seesaw swingin’ with the boys in the school
And your feet flyin’ up in the air
Singin’ hey diddle diddle
With your kitty in the middle of the swing like you didn’t care
So I took a big chance at the high school dance
With a missy who was ready to play
Wasn’t me she was foolin’ ‘cause she knew what she was doin’
And I knowed love was here to stay
When she told me to

Walk this way
Walk this way
Walk this way
Walk this way
Walk this way
Walk this way
Walk this way
Walk this way

Just gimme a kiss
Like this

Schoolgirl sweetie with a classy kinda sassy
Little skirt’s climbin’ way up the knee
There was three young ladies in the school gym locker
When I noticed they was lookin’ at me
I was a high school loser never made it with a lady
Till the boys told me somethin’ I missed
Then my next door neighbor with a daughter had a favor
So I gave her just a little kiss
Like this

Seesaw swingin’ with the boys in the school
And your feet flyin’ up in the air
Singin’ hey diddle diddle
With your kitty in the middle of the swing like you didn’t care

You have a point. I don’t think any mucic is superior over another. I did read through these other lyrics and i see a few other phrases that are common. Most of which are considered vulgar.
I listen to all different kinds of music. I can’t say i pick one particular genre. I own a montain of cd’s from different types and times. But I did see on song on here that I like by RUN DMC.
But like I said in a previous post this stuff does tend to get shoved down peoples throats. And I have heard quite a bit of rap because there is a certain group of individuals that have to dominate the cd player/ radio in the breakroom at work. To say I am biggoted(I know you didn’t say this) is wrong. I will listin to “soul” any day of the week.
