Best Mix of Bodyparts?

For bodybuilding purposes (muscle size augmentation), What would be best between these two pairings?

Chest & Triceps or Chest & Biceps?

If I start with all the chest exercises, the triceps are already pretty banged up. So, is it better to destroy them more to cause hypertrophy or wait and do triceps with Back another day and do biceps instead?

I’m well aware that by mixing Chest and biceps, the biceps are fresh when you hit them, and so you can use more weight. But is it more productive to just continue exercising triceps?

Anyone?

Thoughts? Experiences?

Both methods will work.

You may want to try them both for 3-4 weeks each. There are pros and cons to each method. So doing one for 3-4 weeks and then using the other for 3-4 weeks should help balance things out and get the gains you’re looking for.

If you’ve followed any of Christian Thibaudeau’s programs, you’ll see how he changes things every 3-4 weeks. So you may train chest and back together for one phase and then train chest and biceps together and back and triceps together in a different phase.

Well, not necessarily. Since, when you last trained your back you hit your biceps as well, so they’ll be more or less fatigued from that workout since you can’t train back without involving your biceps, just as you can’t train your chest without training you shoulders and triceps to some extent.

This is the argument for chest-tri-shoulder and back-biceps pairings instead of something else. Personally, I’m in favor of this type of pairing since it makes most sense to me if I was to train a bodypart split, which I am not, though

Well it will be my first split. I’ve done numerous TBT and one EDT (which I loved), but I wanna try splits now.

I’ll try the chest+bi split for now. After, I’ll return to TBT as I’ll do the V-diet for summer. After, we’ll see.

No one has any experience with thse 2 pairings? I’d like to know your opinions and gains from them both…

Yes, I’ve used both. They both work. Try one. Next time, try the other.

Don’t make it more complicated than that.
