There were some good responses to hip mobility, so since I am having a hamstring issue i thought I’d make the request for the best hamstring and quad flexibility exercises.
I find it hardest to stretch the hamstring right up at the top, near the gluteal fold.
I have some pretty boring things I do, so I’m looking for something that is effective tried & true. Any stretch or mobility exercise you do regularly?
I used to get those until I spent about six weeks doing glute exercises (as part of a rehab program) and foam rolling on a tennis ball (by sitting on it). Other than that it was a lot of general hip mobility work.
It worked out a lot of the hamstring tightness by getting rid of a noticeable anterior pelvic tilt.
By far my favorite (and painful) quad stretch, keep in mind that you won’t be able to get the back leg nearly as vertical as this guy does when starting.
I’ve never had a problem with hamstring flexibility so I’ll let others chime in on that.
