Best Exercises for Traps

Barbell shrugs/Power shrugs, deadlifts
also squats i think because when i finish my squat sets feels like my traps had a good workout,the bar rests accoss my traps when i do squats.

I think I’m the only guy left around here that really loves the trap bar. I agree though that deads will definitely hammer the traps as well, especially if done heavy. Sometimes with the trap bar I’ll do combos of a squat with a shrug at the top. Actually my traps need some additional work.

Tirib the more you talk about that bar the more I think I’m missing out on some unique movements. When I get back home I’m going to ask my gym manager to get one to see what I can cook up with it.

I couldn’t live without mine, seriously. I use it for something just about every workout. Even neutral grip benches and overhead presses sometimes.

You know what’s funny? I once thought that the “trap” in “trap bar” meant trapezius. After all, it seems like a great shrugging tool just be looking at it.
