Another good one is Public House in Chicago. I’ll have to check out that taphouse when Im in Seattle.

Get ahold of me the next time you find yourself in Northern California. I’ll buy you lunch up at the Sierra Nevada brewery and you can try ALL of their beers. I don’t drink anymore, but I’ll watch you go to town on the best beer company in the country, the one that was my wingman during my long, slow downward spiral.
You should try the Hoptimum. Not sure if it’s available anywhere other than in Chico, but from what I’ve heard it’s the best thing they’re selling outside of the brewery. 10.4% abv with an extremely smooth finish. Some of the high alcohol content beers are a little too thick and hoppy. I’ve been told it’s a similar finish/taste to Celebration Ale.

it’s a double IPA, a very good one that pretty much anyone can get in the US. They are a very solid brewery no doubt, but California has a fuck ton of other breweries with beer just as good if not better. Sierra Nevada has the best prices though.

Tom Crean’s Premium Irish Larger is unreal. Brewed in Dingle, Co. Kerry.
I usually drink bottled Stout (Guinness) and stay away from the speed brewed shite that is draught Heneken, Bud etc. but this stuff was great because it is made right, given time to brew and develop naturally - like beer used to be…
Heading down with the family this August and will defo be havin me some…
Favourite beers thus far are craft beers straight outta growlers. If your ever in Nova Scotia check out Propeller, or Ottawa Kichessipi, Beau’s Broadhead or the GTA has a tonne of micro breweries as well. Unfiltered beers are amazing I highly recommend those over anything.
Other than Craft beers I usually get PBR Sleeman’s Keiths. All the Budweiser here seems like it’s getting worse by the year. Sam Adams seasonal’s are good as well. I had some Craft beer from the st thomas area a few weeks back I think it was dead elephant IPA. If you like IPA’s i find all the Micro’s similar but they are delicious.
That being said is there any dope Breweries in your guy’s areas?

Sierra Nevada. I’ve seriously considered drinking again in the past purely because I miss the flavor of all their beers so much, particularly their Celebration Ale and their Porter.
This thread has so much win, thanks guys haha. I’m trying to keep up, with all the posts, so far I’ve tried some good stuff. Got a gluten intolerance (can only handle 2-3 beers before disaster) about a month or 2 after I posted this… not sure if there are any good gluten free beers since none have been posted (doubt as good as real ones anyway).
I have some local and weird shit around here from the international place, and found out they have beer tastings on the weekends so I’ll see if I can find anything from international places that are good (I’m curious how the asian beers are, don’t think I’ve had any before. )

Craft beers are everywhere here in Canada now. And some of them are just amazing. I havent bought a six pack of anything in a long time. Just load up on different beers every time I hit the LCBO.

Yeah man definitely a beautiful thing not only are you getting better beer but your helping real people get a business going in your area.
I gotta try that Sierra Nevada next time I’m in the states. What part of Ontario do you live in?

No Sierra Nevada in Ontario? They have it here in Michigan. Their pale ale has always been one of my standard go to beers.
Just ran a couple searches apparently not. I’m usually up on that type of stuff as well. I had Brooklyn lager last time I was in new york, I asked them if they had any Craft beers at the bar and they said that was brewed there, then I realized it was a stupid question being in one of the biggest and established cities in the world aha. They kinda need to mass produce shit there I figure or craft Breweries simply can’t afford to compete with big corporations.

I was listening to a beer connoisseur recently and he mentioned gluten free alternatives, he basically said ‘what’s the point’. If you find beer drinking gives you the scours try switching to cider (it’s paleo if you swing that way). Bulmer’s is a very popular drink over here esp. during the summer where its served in a pint glass filled with ice. There is also a mass of varieties to choose from if you find some not to your liking.
New brewery out of MA called Clown Shoes has been getting big out here. If you see it. get it.
Went to FoCo, CO a little while back and fell in love with Odells which I can’t get out here.

That’s the impression I got based on those around me that I’ve talked to re: it. We have a fairly strong xfit movement here bc it’s a little town with a lot of cadets (Blacksburg, at Virginia Tech) and we have a few positives that I think were brought on by it. Seems like they started carrying more ciders around here among other things (coconut butter, coconut products in general, more organic what-nots, etc).
Anyway, I like ciders, but they just aren’t the same haha. I did try one that was good/different, the British style Crispin, had a nicer beer bite I suppose. If I feel like spending money I’ll buy the best BA rated cider, but that was like $5-6 for a bottle, which I could get a smoked porter by Stone for that. No contest really. Oh well…
