uh, have you seen the picture of my in my avatar?
Ive seen sharper lines on a circle.
pfft, what’s so great about your physique? You hardly even look like you lift under that yellow onesie
I lift for performance. You tell me how big arms slay a dragon please…
They make you look more badass while doing it and of course get you tons of pussy, duh.
Couldnt I just drive a sports car and wear an expensive watch?
That works too, but like mentioned big arms are cheaper. Why not have both, if you have that kind of money?
On a serious note, yeah I know rare for me, my arms have always been a trouble spot. Shoulders and chest make it worse. Thinking about doing the CT recomendation after I finish my cut. Hit them 3-4x a week and just a day of deadlifting each week for a month.
I had the same problem. Thick legs and torso with noodle arms. I increased my intensity and frequency that I hit bi’s and tri’s to bring them up. Seems to be working quite well.
I actually just started doing “direct” arm work again and I’m already getting stretch marks on my upper arm. I hadn’t done things like curls in years. It will be interesting to see how much they grow.

Genetics are funny.

same kinda

Ok, I’ll just do it this way. The front shot is kinda blurry but you get the idea. Weighing about 218 right now. Still natty and planning to stay that way, since I’ve seen some people asking about that.

Jesus Beef. Ok, you can put those things away now.

Beef we neef a non blury front double bi…arms lookin thick though

Incredible progress, natty or otherwise Beef. Dem genetics…

You win biggest freakin’ bicep award for sure.

Nice arms beef.

HolyMac is that you?

I don’t train arms heavy anymore. I train them once a week with bi’s/tri’s on the same day using supersets with as little rest as possible with 4 exercises for 4 sets for each for 10-15 reps with constant tension. Under those parameters, I use like 50’s on Meadows style 1 arm at a time pinwheels and like 35’s on incline curls (both arms together) for example.

Thanks man, though I disagree with “otherwise.” If I was on stuff and looked like this, I would be very sad, lol.

Sure, next time I get around to it. This is the most recent non blurry front shot I have but it’s not a double >_<

Also had this cold bdb lying around.

Also, I disagree with the notion that you need to spend time doing “strength” training before training with higher reps. I have plenty of trainees who’s arms have grown plenty fast starting right out of the gates with whatever light weights they could handle for my style of “pump” training. Believe it or not, you can increase your strength (and hence muscle size) with that style of training by actually doing that style of training. You’ll also avoid most of the stupid nagging pains/injuries that a lot of people have to deal with from training too heavy.

My idea of “strength training” for when progress happens to stall is to just work up to slightly heavier weight anyway. If I’ve been stuck not being able to hit the top end of a rep range at a given weight for too long that will usually does the trick. (My overall nutrition and peri workout nutrition is impeccable so that will likely never be an issue)

Impressive KingBeef! Your triceps are big and are still overshadowed by your bi’s. Did you ever curl heavier? Just curious…

Yeah, I used to take longer breaks between sets and use looser form on my heaviest sets, which led to nagging injuries/joint pain. IMO, the only thing that matters is progressing under whatever parameters you’re training under. I prefer to use the ones that are most conducive to injury avoidance, which is now paramount in my training.

yes yes. I’ve never understood why people feel the need to separate training for size/strength, especially for something like arms. If your 15RM goes up 10lbs you’ve gotten stronger, just the same as if it’s your 1RM, 5RM etc.
