Big arms are easier on the wallet. But yeah a shiny new ZR1 and a Rolex will get you far.

That works too, but like mentioned big arms are cheaper. Why not have both, if you have that kind of money?

On a serious note, yeah I know rare for me, my arms have always been a trouble spot. Shoulders and chest make it worse. Thinking about doing the CT recomendation after I finish my cut. Hit them 3-4x a week and just a day of deadlifting each week for a month.

I had the same problem. Thick legs and torso with noodle arms. I increased my intensity and frequency that I hit bi’s and tri’s to bring them up. Seems to be working quite well.

I believe that to develop decent arms (mine went from 14/15 inches to 17 in a year with more bicep peak and “horse shoe” separation) , strength should be the largest focus in terms of arm exercises, like getting your barbell curl poundages up and your close grip bench/dips up, not necessarily focusing on the mind muscle connection. Then when strength is sufficient, focus on the feeling of the muscle. That way you’ll be able to handle heavier loads while focusing on the muscle contracting.

I agree here for pure size and thickness. I believe a lot of my arm size came from heavy deadlifts and rowing movements as my curl weights aren’t really all that impressive.

Whatever works for an individual. I am the opposite of this. When I was raising my biceps and triceps strength, my arms did not reflect the numbers I was putting up. Once I dropped the weight in half, or even more and started pumping them until I wanted to cry, that is when my arms started to blow up.

I actually just started doing “direct” arm work again and I’m already getting stretch marks on my upper arm. I hadn’t done things like curls in years. It will be interesting to see how much they grow.

Genetics are funny.

But had you not focused on strength first, you wouldn’t have been using as much weight on exercises where you chase the pump, which is my point.

Personally i always do 2 mass exercises or bicep and tri…basically push the most weight with good form then do 3 “sculpting” with lower weight really focusing on mmc

I’ll play, I guess

Damn impressive, Cron

Peak action

What a surprise, more pictures that dont load…

Yeah, I suppose all my years on strength training allow me to “pump” with a lot heavier weights. Although, I usually use 25 lb DB’s for curls, but I do it in a giant set fashion so super setting 3 bicep exercises with no rest.

Sort it out T-Nation, SHOW US THE BEEF!
