That’s weird.

I have diagnosed scoliosis too but squats and deads make my back feel BETTER.
I think the dif is in the type of curve. Also maybe the severity. For my entire adolescence , teehnage years and twenties I almost never had any probs so I didn’t try to correct my posture or deal with it at all so my case may have advanced

I would suggest trying to correct the muscle imbalances involved. When I first started squatting I had trouble bringing my hips up straight–they tended to buckle to one side. I tried hip adduction and learned that one of my adductors was so weak it was almost useless and cramped up at the first physical exertion.
I relate to that. my obliques, abs, erectors, hip flexors, deep hip muscles, and deep spinal muscles on the left side of my body are all WAY weaker than the other side. When i first started to deadlift I got no soreness at all for any muscles on the right, but way too much soreness ( almost muscle strains) on the left

Sounds like solid advice. I always thought that torso rotation machine looked a little… weak maybe? Like what could that do for you that Ob extensions on a Roman Chair couldn’t? Maybe it’s time I gave it a try.
What stretches do you use for your back?

Also, back on the GHR for a second. If you cannot complete a good rep (on an improvised GHR setup from the ground, I cannot do any) then start in the up position and lower yourself down. Focus on the eccentric (negative) portion of the movement. Your hamstrings will be under extreme tension as your approach the ground. You should be able to endure it longer and longer until you can actually hit the ground somewhat gracefully.
Yeah I tried it, and yeah i couldn’t do it. I figured maybe I was doing it wrong. I will keep trying.
