some of these answers are pretty funny.
Well, it’s the bb forum.
I’d actually be quite interested in your take on the issue…
I personally keep my head on the bench and stare at some imaginary point at which I “aim” the bar or DB’s… (well, sort of)
Whenever I do the whole “raise head when bar comes down” thing, my barpath goes to hell.
Lots of people do that though, including a lot of very strong benchers I’ve seen… So yeah. Whatcha think?

forgot about this one.
yeah… it is:)
I bench both ways but if i’m going for a max attempt then i definitely raise my head. raising the head puts more stress on the front delts. I have decently strong delts so it adds a few pounds to my lift.
raising my head also allows me to get up on my traps better and keeps me tighter for the heavy lifts.
plus i wanna see that big ass weight blasting off my chest.
but since this is the bodybuilding forum, maybe i should stop the weight a few inches off my chest so as to not “rest” the weight on my chest:)
i couldn’t help myself.
