We’re having a benchpress competition at our gym at the moment the prize is a free years subscription. The criteria is to complete as many reps as possible in 3 min with half your bobyweight. Someone has already done 127x55kg and my 1st attempt was a miserable 98x50kg. my plan was to do as many sets of 20 as poss. with 10 seconds rest between, it went 20-20-20-15-10-13. Any takers?
I’ll try. In the past I’ve been able to do 76 reps in one minute with half my bodyweight. That’s without stopping. I weigh 190lbs.
