My gym just got a plate loaded belt squat attachment for their power rack. Any thoughts on replacing the leg press from Triumvirate with the bent squat? I’m currently doing landmine hack squats rather than leg press.

I absolutely love the belt squat and will use it instead of leg press any time
I did belt squats as a primary movement for the last year or so. It just feels so much more natural to me and easier to go heavier than barbell squat variations. I used to do them on plyo boxes with a loading pin and a belt but I was using enough weight that it was becoming unsafe due to the potential for the boxes to slide mid rep. Now I’ve paused them for a bit till I can get a belt squat lever arm for my power rack (soon!!). By focusing so much on making it a primary movement I made so much progress and I definitely don’t regret it. Highly recommend taking it seriously for a while and seeing what happens!
Do them all. Lol
Thanks guys. I’m going to program the belt squat into my next cycle. My gym doesn’t have a leg press, so I’m always looking for other leg assistance movements. I usually do front or SB squats, but I decided to try Landmine Hacksquats this last cycle. They were OK, but I like the belt squat better.
