Belt Recommendations?

@vt, i’m getting close to shw, weighed in at 280 today. Definitely not lean by any means.

@storm and meat, i appreciate your advice guys. You know my first inclination was to get a forever lever belt. Sounded great, but i kept hearing stories like yours meat where the levers have a tendency to break. I also like to have a different tightness depending on the exercise, from as tight as i can on squats, to a little looser on rows and deads. From what i’ve heard it’s not as easy to adjust the tightness from set to set as it is with a single prong belt. Is that true or am i totally off base here.

I have not used a lever belt, so maybe i am totally off on that.

You have 4 holes on the belt for the prongs on the leather to go into so you basically have 2 quick settings and to adjust beyond those, you have to use a quarter or screwdriver and take maybe 5min to adjust if that long.

In that case, I’d def use a 13mm belt. Level or prong is on you. I’m all for simplicity, so a single prong belt is what I ended up getting.

Also, I can’t imagine my belt breaking, compared to a lever belt. Unless my awesome abz tear the leather I don’t think any weightlifting incident could break it… (that was a joke, btw) a lever belt seems much easier to break, evidently.

@fletch thanks for the clarification.

@vt, more than likely i will get the single prong belt from either inzer or crains. Still looking over my options since i wont be planning any work in briefs of suit for at least a month, as i do have some time for the 2-3 week timeframe that it might take inzer.

I’ve odered several products from Inzer. They have always arrived within a week.

These are pretty cool, If you wanted something that’s not “off the shelf” and wanted something a bit nicer.

@strengthdawg, thanks for the recommendation but according the site they are not taking belt orders until september.
