Heya T-freques. This BTV focuses on the topic of PREROGATIVE. Lately on the forum there have been battles over religion, tattoos, deltiods and several more than interesting topics. I’m of the opinion that religion and religious affiliation is too off topic to find its way onto the forum, and I’ve expressed that before. Problem is that theology has this odd habit of dividing and scaring people into a mental/spiritual/emotional quasi-frenzy. You beleive, you don’t, you beleive you don’t, its universally all good, just be as kind to the person sitting next to you as you are to the person halfway across the world and we’ll be aight. Unfortunately this is not a reality, especially if the person sitting next to you just nabbed the last box of GROW!, but I digress. I was almost nearly amazed at the fury with which those of us who are inked were attacked on the Tattooed thread. Hey, if there’s one way to sound like a downtrodden, old grumpy bastard it would be to criticize that which the “young people” are doing. Especially if it has no bearing whatsoever on your situation. As was mentioned on the post, tatoos and tirbal markings have a rather long history, but if you care to throw the word “fad” in there by all means go ahead, some people are just more comfortable in a big warm pool of ignorance. If you don’t like tattoos no one is forcing you to get 'em. If you don’t enjoy mine while I display it walking down the street, close your eyes, hide your children, go home and hang yourself, again, its universally all good. I’m thrilled about the PUNK ROCKER thread. It gives a sense that the traditional “bodybuilder mold” is broken. The surfers, skaters, scavangers, skiiers, socialites can all weight train without being ostracized. THat’s what T-FORUM FAMILY is all about; an underlying connection through sweat and iron, and we can’t lose sight of that. Lately I’ve been focusing on more functional training. Those of you who know me are probably aware that I’m not huge, and prefer being this way. I am, however, alway pursuing transformation into a human lean cuisine (appetizing and fat free). CPT has been great and I’ll be entering month two next week. I was wondering if I could continue strength/functional style training while simeltaneously continuing to “lean out”. Any tips, tricks, ect. would be greatly appreciated.
Finally, the Coach Davies Invasion of T-Forum has been the greatest item in months, possibly in the past year. It has certainly helped me to realize how much enjoyment I reap out of simply lifting heavy shit and moving it. The other day at camp I carried a large wooden table across a field by myself and the ensuing pump was incredible. Well, I’ve exhaugsted my topics for the time being. Today it shall be Bench Press day follwed later by a chinese buffet and Planet of The Apes. T-liph is good.
