Just from my experience a good protein powder for post-workout, BCAA’s, creatine, and a multi-vitamin seem to be plenty for a beginner. Add that on top of solid nutrition.
Surge is also very popular
I’m blown away by Surge. Easily one of the best tasting protein shakes I’ve ever had - wait, THE best. I got the Original flavor and it’s badass.
Gotta earn the Surge, though…at least the full serving.
Have not bought BCAA but I think I will hold off for now until I get a regular routine going and nail down a diet. Creatine and Surge are all I got for training.
IMO BCAAs haven’t done much. A good diet and a good protein powder will carry you farther than BCAAs.
Creatine can reduce the amount of off days you have. Again, I don’t think it’s a substitute for a good diet. It helps a lot of people but my lifts go up regardless of if I’m taking Creatine or not.
Fish Oil is pretty kickass. The good effects of Flameout is a pretty long list. The capsules are also easier to swallow than Flax Seed Oil.
Screw Multivitamins. This is the one pill everyone should take.
A good Protein Powder is a must for anyone who cares about having muscle. Sure, people got strong without it before but Protein Powder helps so much and is so convenient that not Lifting Weights and not taking a Protein Powder is like listening to a walkman instead of an ipod.
Protein powder and fish oil.
