Has anyone tried the Beginner’s Blast Off Program in T-Mag issue #130? I realize most here are fairly experienced, but if anyone could share their results I’d be most appreciative.
I have a friend just starting out that’s also really interested in this question.
What’s all this “analysis paralysis” shit? It’s weight training. It works. There’s nothing special about the program. Since when does resistance training NOT work?
Lift, eat right, recover, repeat.
Constantly asking others if a program “works” is an excuse not to get started.
Sometimes we just overcomplicate things.
I put my newbie friend on it, he did well. Something like 5lbs and you could see the difference. He also started eating more and was consistent.
At one point, we were all new, and the first stuff I was doing wasn’t anything as good as “Beginner’s Blast Off.” Now go read Massive Eating, buy some protein powder and get your swoll on.
Chris, Great point. Many times people tend to reasearch more and “do” less. Any training at all is better than doing nothing. People always ask, What can I expect? How fast will I see results? Nobody can answer that question. Everything relies on the “X” factor. The X factor in any program is the person using the program. We all respond differently.
