Hey guys im new here and had a couple questions. i cant say im new to the world of lifting but in the use of supplementation i know jack. im 19 years old and decided i wanted to try using a post workout drink to get some creatine in my system. thro research and getting a good deal thro a friend i landed on cellmass.
now my question is can i take the cellmass right after my workout and still hit my cardio? i know you want to take the creatine right after a workout and i also know one of the best times to do cardio is right after a workout. should i take my cellmass then hit cardio or wait and take it after my cardio is done? and my last question is can i mix my BCAAs with the cellmass? any kind of help would be much appreciated!
You can take your creatine before you workout and right after you are done. I’d recommend drinking your post-workout drink immediately after you done lifting instead of waiting until you are done with cardio. You want to put the brakes on the catabolic effects you will be experiencing, and hitting up the cardio before the drink could just compound the problem.
There are benefits to taking creatine beforehand, basically putting it in your system to use during your workout instead of just after it.
Yes you can mix BCAAs with your creatine without a problem.
Personally, I take about 5g of creatine 15 min before I workout then another 5g afterwards. These are both mixed with Surge.
If you don’t use Surge, grape juice is a good subtitute. You need a fast acting high GI carb to produce an insulin response to shuttle the creatine into your muscle. The same concept is true with protein and BCAAs.
thanks a lot for the help syncharmony! that basically summed it all up for me. i was curious about the Surge you mentioned. is that the same stuff they sell right here on the site? and if i were to take the no-explode they offer along with cellmass would that basically work they same as Surge or should i look into that over the no-explode? thanks again!
Yeah that’s the same stuff they sell here on the site. I would recommend taking Surge postworkout.
I really, really, really advise against Cellmass. Mostly because it’s a ridiculous price gouging scheme. You spend 30$ for 40 servings of creatine?? Why not just get regular creatine monohydrate and add some carbs/sugar/koolaid to it? You’ll get near 400 servings for the same price. And at that price you can take as many servings as you want because your stash will last you 10 months.
Also, no the NO-explode + Cellmass will work nothing like Surge for the following reasons:
- no bcaas
- no protein in it
- it’s NO-explode and it’s crap/scam.
Basic components for a PWO drink are protein + carbs. These are necessary for a good PWO drink.
You can take creatine either before or after workouts. And yes you can add BCAAs to your cellmass if they’re powder. Personally, IF I do cardio, I find large amounts of liquid make my stomach hurt. But your mileage may vary.
Not true. Many people eat low carb most of the time, and they still take their creatine and protein and BCAA’s (think Anabolic Diet). When on the AD, people also don’t use Surge during the week, only on the carb up weekends, but still eat protein and take their BCAA’s and creatine.
