I have been reading a ton on Fat Fast and I am very interested in it.
I used to weigh 375 I got down to 340 with the help of Swolecats program. I am at a plataeu and I believe FF is the way to overcome it.
I have all the stuff I need. I cant do any thermogenics due to high blood pressure any advice ?
ALso I was told that I can have boiled eggs and tuna on this as a snack during the day. Is this true…
Hi, there, Kurt. Welcome to T-Mag. I see you’re fairly new.
Fat Fast is an extreme diet, usually chosen by people who are extremly desprate to drop fat. It’s hard to stick with, painful . . . and probably effective if you’re able to stick with it. My one suggestion is that you have an alternate plan to fall back on. My fall-back recommendation is T-Dawg 2.0. Do your research on both before starting.
Yes, you can use protein shakes or REAL protein (the kind you chew) for Fat Fast. Just remember that eggs have a fair amount of carbs that need to be accounted for, but then again, most protein powders have at least a few carbs, too.
Good luck to you, and if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
I was in the same boat last fall.I wanted to lose some fast weight just to stay motivated.Due to an injury on the job I hurt my shoulder and couldn’t workout for a year. With the help of our friend Mr.Beer I gain about 60 pounds over the course of that year.In a nut shell all I ate was bacon, eggs, lots of shrimp, steak, and low carb protein powder.Total daily caloric intake at around 2000.I walked 3-6 miles a day(6 days a week)One weight training session a week(light weights)
In 5 weeks I lost 50 pounds and 6 pants sizes. After that I lost weight more slowly.Good Luck to ya!
Tampa-Terry: whoah, carbs in eggs? You sure about that? I threw out my egg carton today so I can’t go look, but I’m pretty damn certain eggs are composed (almost) entirely of protein and fat. What’s the story there?
I have to disagree with Ike’s recommendation above. I don’t believe that Joel’s CD/EDT program is the way to go for someone who’s both very overweight and new.
I second TT’s recommendation about the T-Dawg diet. In fact, I’d do that first before trying Fat Fast. While effective, FF is extremely difficult to live with, and once you’re done with it it’s tricky to come off without gaining a lot of weight back once you re-introduce carbs. T-Dawg is much more a “lifestyle”, long-term type of approach (which, of course, is better).
Dave, yes, there are 3g of carbs in 3 large eggs. Not a lot, granted, but I call 'em “sneaky carbs.” Some carbs have a way of slipping in there when you’re not looking. It only matters if you’re doing something real low carb, like Fat Fast.
I always look up the numbers of the things I eat and put in my food log. Who would have ever thought that vegetables like spinach and mushrooms are SIGNIFICANTLY higher in protein than in carbs.
Kurt, no offense, but it doesn’t sound like you’ve read any of those articles very closely.
“The dinner roll was just out of hunger.”
WTF? Do I need to explain how silly that is, especially when you follow it up with “I know I can have no carbs.”
I think I’d drop what you’re doing (Fat Fast has a huge failure rate anyway) and adopt the T-Dawg 2.0. Be sure you’ve read “Foods that make you look good naked” too.
Everyone’s suggestion of the T-Dawg 2.0 was a good one.
It is not hard to follow and has a very high success rate.
As far as the MRP diet, this diet is meant to be a last resort for those times when you are out of town or have no way to get to the foods you may need.
If you DO decide to go with the T-Dawg 2.0 diet, your carbs should be coming from fibrous veggies (spinach, broccoli, etc…) and oatmeal (100% rolled oats) and your post workout shake (Surge).
Please read the T-Dawg 2.0 Diet and give it some serious thought, in your situation I feel it would be your best bet.
