I just felt the need to share this because it needs to be made public on how effective beet root powder is. I take in the morning before lifting (and eating) and the amount of vascularity that I have is incredible. The natural nitrates in the powder are turned into nitric oxide through bacteria in your mouth and stomach (DO NOT BRUSH TEETH/USE MOUTHWASH BEFORE OR AFTER) and the enhancement in blood flow is mind blowing. It’s so cheap too, I would 10/10 recommend giving it a try sometime.
How much do you use & how long does it take to kick in?
I tried 1,000 ml of beetroot juice before boxing conditioning & didn’t notice a difference, but I eat lots of Veges already
I don’t know the nutrition value and serving size in the juice, but the powder I would take around 9-10g 30-45 minutes before the workout. I used to brush my teeth after because the taste is extremely earthy so I wasn’t getting the full effects. I started to just wake up take the serving and then change and go to the gym and noticed unreal changes while lifting. I don’t do enough cardio to have an opinion on it but I have read that when athletes use it their endurance has a 20% increase
does your piss turn purple like when you eat alot of beets? which are delicious
LOL … personally I have never pissed purple man
Bro you gotta try some Maroccan beet salad, amazing stuff, great nutrients there. it surprised me the first time i saw my stream that color haha
That does sound super good, I love beets. I’ll look up a recipe and give it try, thanks for the idea
Have to be careful with that stuff. I drank about a cup of beet juice, took a super hot shower and almost fell out because of the drop in BP.
How is it compared to Citrulline?
I’ve never taken citrulline alone, but a lot of the pre-workout supps (when I take them) have them blended so I can’t base anything off it. I would confidently say that an arm day and beet root powder makes for a UNREAL combo.
