Bear Mode/Rugby Prop Physique

For the last MF’ing time, stop worrying about whether you are winning or losing the argument and start worrying about your goals. That’s it. No more of this bullshit running around in circles just trying to be more right than someone else.

Speaking of which…

[quote]theiceman13 wrote:

…well, if it took him that long to get to 180 jacked pounds, there’s not a moment to lose for you.

Speaking of which…

THIS is why everyone here is so skeptical that you’ll actually get anywhere. If you want to achieve “bear mode” that cannot happen. No excuses. No “I’m busy at work” or “I’m a student and XYZ” or anything else.

lol @ calling out Flip when he’s 1000x as jacked and strong as this kid’ll ever be

How the fuck am i worrying? i wasnt even having argument with him, i was just pointing out that we have different goals and i was complimenting him on his high strength soo once again you assumed wrong like you allways doo, you stereotypeing people and you serously think i eat like that all the time lol, that was only yesterday duo to no food.

All i said was that 185lbs is not truly big, yess he might look big duo to a small boned structure with low bodyfat but he is still light (i been 187lbs in the past) but like i said we have different goals, he wants to be ripped and strong why i want to be big and strong.

I wasnt calling him out as a way to be a prick to him as i wasnt soo next time do not assume.
Oh and dont ever fucking get lippy with me ever again.

lol

lol

This is the last time I’ll try. You gotta realize that the beginner section is like high schoolers asking how to get their diploma so they can go out and do their own shit afterwards. The teachers keep saying do your damn homework and study for your exam. There is no easy way out. Even when giving you a hard time, most people here are trying to help. It can get difficult when people keep asking for the cheat sheet or skipping homework assignments which doesn’t prepare them for the future.

ActivitiesGuy is just telling you to prioritize your own work before others because none of that matters for your progress. You skipped one homework assignment and he wants you to make it a higher priority because that’s what it takes to succeed.

What I think doesn’t really matter. However, if you ate in a manner that was necessary to achieve your goals “all the time” then you would be getting closer to your goals. I surmise that you’ve had a few too many days like this over the years, and that’s why you are starting from Ground Zero, here in the forum asking how you should eat and train.

And, as I said in your training log, there’s nothing wrong with starting from Ground Zero. Really. But it’s easy to make excuses for days like that, and continuing to do so suggests that you are not as committed to your goal as you will have to be to get there. If you eat well 3 or 4 days a week but keep having those “well, there was no food around so I just had 2 light meals and a snack” days, and telling yourself that it was OK and you’ll do better tomorrow, you’ll continue spinning your wheels.

And empty threats like your final statement are silly. It helps no one, yourself included.

did you guys miss the part where I changed my name to Rolls? But thanks guys, y’all are awesome.

To Iceman: I think it’s hilarious that you’re telling us that we don’t know if you will ever be the strongest man in the world, and yet you’re ASSUMING you know what MY goals are. I honestly don’t care if I stay ripped, I simply have a genetic predisposition towards being lean. I’ve never even tried to cut fat. I would be fine with weighing 300 lbs if it meant I could squat 1000. But I sure as hell don’t want to weigh 300 lbs if I’m squatting 500.

What you’re not understanding is that it’s much, much harder to add weight, and particularly muscle, than you seem to think it is. Let’s pretend for a moment that YOU get to 300 lbs in the next 5 years. If you think you’ll be anywhere close to the physiques you’re describing, you’re mistaken. You’ll just be a fatass at that weight.

And you’re certainly not gonna get there if you have ANY days where you have ‘2 lights meals and a snack’. There isn’t a single person responding to your posts who would do that. On any day. You lack discipline and dedication. That’s why you’re weak. I’ve said it earlier, I hope you prove me wrong and turn into a monster. Your mentality just isn’t there yet if you’re still skipping meals. You need to understand this.

Thanks. Stole it from the best haha.

The OP’s weighed 187lbs in the past. The dude in the picture is 178lbs.

Obviously the OP had more muscle and was stronger than this dude, because that’s how it works.

Imagine only weight 180lbs! What a pussy!

You think i really liked eating light meals? noo i did not think it was ok because i had no food in ny house only bits and bobs but today i went out and brought food (when i say that am gonna doo something, i will) from the store as i hate going to the local shop as its far too expensive.

Oh and yeah i apoligise for my hostility but i dont like people assuming shit or patronising or reading too much into my posts and this goes for all you guys, you woudnt patronise anyone face to face soo why do it on the internet.

Define “patronise”. I think you mean “condescend” but I’m always open to surprises.

The point is to limit the excuses and work around them.

For example: If I was busy for the entire day doing physically demanding things at work and ended up having an intense training session late at night instead of my normal training time, I would barely have any time to eat enough good food to make up for all the calories burned. In that situation after training and close to bed time, I would go out and get two fast food meals, down a protein shake and eat a bunch of snacks to get anywhere from 2000-3000 calories in one sitting. No this is not optimal and yes it sucks that I was so busy to put down good food throughout the day but I still made the best of my situation. It’s not a normal routine since I want to eat a bit cleaner to put on more lean mass but sometimes you just have to do what you can.

Next time you can stock up on food and make a better effort to restock at half supply.

[quote]theiceman13 wrote:

Nobody said you liked it. Whether or not you liked it has nothing to do with the subject. I personally don’t like eating until I feel sick, or drinking 100g protein shakes every single day, but I do it anyway.

You shouldn’t have run out of food in the first place anyway. That’s bad planning. And it’s entirely your own fault. No excuses. And if you can’t afford to eat more, that’s gonna be a problem too.

I agree with you Flipcoller, (dont why i kept calling you roller) its my fault for not planning for the week ahead but i have created a price log on what foods to buy in bulk for 3 weeks and then i will repeat the process and i am going to go get some more food later.

Yess i know very well that if i want to reach my ultimate goal of being 260+ or 280+ it will take many, many years of eating, lifting heavy etc (i dont care how long it takes)and yeah obviously i dont wanna my ultimate goal weight and be very weak for that size.

Btw the reason i assumed was because you guys basically did the same to me but like i said before, 185lbs is too light and small for my goals.

185 is too light for my goals as well. FWIW, I’m currently gaining weight. I weighed 195 yesterday. At my height, I believe I would need to weigh something around 240-260 to attain my ultimate goals. Unfortunately, to weigh that much, and have an equitable amount of strength, I would have to take amounts of drugs that I’m not willing to take. I want to be big and strong. Without the drugs, the desired strength would not accompany the size gains.

The mistake you made in your logic was that I’ve already reached my goal size and strength.

You dont need drugs to get to those size and strength, my uncle was only 5’7 or 8 and he was 250+ in his prime and serously strong too and never touched a drug, he was a normal sized lad who got massive and strong in several years time…he weighs about about 215lbs these days but the lightest he we ever weigh was roughly 140lbs.

I know doug h went from 160 to 300lbs in 20 years, (guy did natural) but at 300lbs, he sure was carrring between 25% and 30% body fat.
