In the past, the T-mag mods would choose what forum your posts ended up on. This was a good plan but caused some problems because a guy would ask about steroids and training in the same post and mods would put it on the steroid forum when the guy wanted it on the training forum. (The mods had no way of knowing where you intended the post to go.)
Well, now this has been changed. The mods no longer choose, you do based on where you ask the question. So if you ask a Q from the off topic forum, it will appear on the off topic forum. I have a feeling this may cause some to post in the wrong section, but this method really lessens the workload of the mods. Thanks.
On the forum today, I noticed that clicking the “Back” button after reviewing a post and its replies, it throws me back to a random area on the main page, whereas before it would always bring me back to the same place. In other words, I clicked on the first post at the top of the main page to read the replies, then clicked “back” and it dropped me in the middle of the main page. Not a huge deal, but when you’ve got dozens of posts to sort through, it’s very cumbersome to go back and find where you were before. Perhaps it’s something with my computer, but thought I would throw it out there anyway.
This isn’t directly related, but is there some way that we can opt out of receiving those “Thanks for your message” automated reply emails? I can see the need (maybe) for a non-automated reply if an email was turned down for some reason (i.e., it’d be nice to know why), but for those of us who post regularly, these automated responses can start to feel a lot like spam.
I’ve gone ahead and set up a filter for them, but they still clutter up the mailbox and make searching through old correspondence that much slower. I can’t see that they really do any good. Not only that, but in the event that I actually have a question for the Orders Department, that reply will now be filtered (unless you guys only use the “orders@” address for these auto-replies).
Char- The forum used to send those e-mails out, then it stopped, then it started up again after a server change. So I’ve asked (repeatedly) for them to be turned back off. I agree that they’re not necessary and annoying. I think that only a “not accepted” message needs to be sent. I’ve sent the computer guys your post.
