BCAAs

Do we really need to be taking BCAA supplements, or are they just another assisted money-making cash cow?

NEED!!! No thats a huge word need

Want or help sure its about optimal and adequate. If all else is in line first then sure by all means add them.

Well, if you have your diet in order then I think BCAA’s are the first thing that should be added. I’ve only been on them for a short time, but I can tell you that I definately noticed enhanced recovery, decreased hunger when used inbetween meals and better training sessions.

Decreased hunger? I’m trying to gain here. Also, I take Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein powder, and there are BCAAs already in there. Do I really need to add a pill stack?

Well, when the body gets the BCAA’s it think that food has come in, starting the anabolic process. I’m dieting right now, that’s why I want/notice the decrease hungar pangs. It’s not something you NEED, but you don’t NEED that protein powder or any supplement either. Lifting and eating in the correct amount is all you NEED.

Psychology is a strong thing. If you make up your mind that you don’t NEED them before you even try them- they won’t do anything for you at all. If they do, you’ll attribute it to something else.

I personally have found them very valuable in maintaining muscle mass while dieting, and even gaining some mass while on a very low carb diet.

Keep it simple okay and don’t take everything so concretely. For that guy they decreased hunger that’s not their purpose nor will they have that effect on everyone. They did for him prolly because he’s dieting.

BCAA’s are amino acids which are building blocks of protein which is what your muscle are comprised of. By supplementing with BCAA’s in addition to a good whole food and MRP it is another factor ensuring optimum muscle recovery and growth.

I have been using BCAA’s consistently since I started my training blog. Check out the blog and you deduce if it has helped or hindered me. Again, I am not saying BCAA’s are magic pills blowing me up, but I do firmly and wholly believe they are giving me an added edge in this game of adding strength and size.

I use them upon waking up then two hours later before during and after training and then every two three hours through the day and again before I go to bed.

D

I will never go with out my BCAA again. They help so much with recovery.

I ran out for a week once and was so sore the next few days. When I take them soreness is minimal and last only a day.

If you’re bulking and going heavy a lot or are prone to soreness id take them,i love them for soreness.
